Machine purchased in August 2001.
Dryer makes load sqealing noise during operation.
I'm thinking bearings or roller problem, or maybe something needs to be lubed. Replacement seems odd since machine is so new.......Please advise.

Re: Kenmore TopLoad Drying Machine
It could be a part in the bulkhead unit. Shaft, Tri Ring, and support roller all fit together. You can put grease on the rollers and shaft support if they are in good shape. You can download the 3D-diagram, and parts list from HTTP://WWW3.SEARS.COM
All you need is the model #110-62622100.
If you do need parts, you can order them from the website and it comes with an exploded diagram on how to repair it. GO YANKEES !!

sounds like the door switch is broken, good thing it broke in the running position or the dryer wouldn't start.that isn't a good model number either, open the door look around the opening where you put the clothes in and you should see a tag with the model number, you'll need that to order the door switch.the dwjr comes up but not the rest if this is a ge dryer.
If the heating element is getting very hot that means there is no air flow across it. If the drum doesn't turn then the blower is not turning causing the element to get very hot. Could be drum belt, drum rollers, or motor.
Make sure that the problem is not a broken belt, or a belt that has slipped off of the motor pulley or idle arm pulley.
Look to see if the motor is running first, sometimes you cannot hear the motor running but it is.
Also you can check your breakers to see if one is kicked out.
This problem can also be caused by a faulty start switch.
If this is not the problem than it may be time to call the repairman
