Set it in a bowl of rice for a couple days or leave it out in the open air till it works again. Do not use a hair dryer or any type of pressurized air source. The rice works for cell phones that take a dip in a water source too. Eric
Its known issue of bad CCD imager in JVC camcorders and JVC offers free repair for few models. Click JVC Free CCD Repair for details. GR-D50 is not in list so you may be charged for its repair or ask JVC for free repair. Need further help, let me know.
Youre going to need a Video Editing program that will work with Vista. Pinnacle Studio will work with your camera and has the drivers built into the program to support your camera as well.
Hi!
I had the same problem. I just find a working driver for my IEEE1394 here:
http://www.unibrain.com/download/download.asp
Download this:
ubCore™ 5.20 for Windows Windows XP/Vista 64 bit
After I installed it, my Vista can see my camcorder, but JVC drivers still missing. I wrote a mail for JVC and I'm waiting for the reply.
This is all I can help at the moment.
