The water filter keeps freezing and food in door and on shelves keeps freezing.
Admiral side-by-side fridge/freezer.
I have recently experienced problems with food becoming too cold and freezing in the fridge compartments and door.
The water filter also freezes up stopping the water supply in my ice/water dispenser, (ice still dispenses).
I have removed the filter and defrosted it twice, and then runs ok, but seems to freeze up within a day or too.

Changing the freezer settings won't really make a difference because regardless its still going to be freezing. The way the machine works is the freezer cools the fridge, and there should be a control in the fridge that operates the baffles in the airway between the freezer and fridge and reduces the amount of air that enters into the fresh food section.
You may have to open the door to let the dispenser thaw since it's in the door.
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper)
between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through
it.There is a flap you adjust with the
fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the
fridge temp ..
Wrap all food together in blankets to insulate. But first check for a kink at the bottom of the freezer door where the water line comes up trough the door ,disconnect and press for water. If not check at filter if all fails; replace water valve.
Found a fix for my issue ... hopefully it'll help you. Up at the topleft rearmost corner of the fridge remove panel to reveal spring attached slots where cold is supplied from freezer. The spring attached had came off one end as there isn't a "slot" for the spring to hold in place (design fault?).Reattached the spring and taped on .... and hey presto fridge now working perfectly again. Hope this helps.
