Question about Optoma H30 Multimedia Projector

1 Answer

H30 Crashing My H30 seems to be crashing not long after turning it on. When the problem occurs the signal from the source input is lost, followed by a black screen and a green bar scretched across the top part of the screen. The only way to fix it is to turn off the projector, leave for 10-15mins and restart. It used to do this occasionally but just recently it is happening nearly everytime i use it. I contacted optoma support and there repair charges were outrageous (and only a 90day warranty after the repair) I haven't been able to locate any similar problems from other users on the www, and in despiration i thought i would try 'Fixya' :)

The only thing I can think would be that the projector is heating up because the air filters are clogged.

Follow these steps hopefully it will help you
First try to Update Browser
Disable Firewall.
Install latest Windows updates.
Also check that your internet is working properly
If this is helpless then It seems that your OS has registry problem

'no signal input'

D-Sub is usually used for input from a computer, make sure the TV's input source is set to Analogue or Digital (or DTV) as it seems to be set to accept input from a computer, if you do not have a computer connected, then this is why it is complaining of no signal. It will not automatically defer to normal TV without being told to do so, have a look in the manual, or guess around the remote control to change the source of the signal.

Fujitsu plasma tv is on but no picture on screen. monitor screen seems to work as it displays the "video input", but there's no picture

Check all inputs. Are they all dead. Try other signal source. Does antenna input work when connected to known good source?Vide input label being displayed indicates most of the tv is working. You need to determine if you have lost signal in the video input.

Toshiba A105-S2101 keeps crashing!

Sounds like a memory 'leak'. Just because it's the 'correct' memory, doesn't mean it's not faulty. I would have them exchanged.

You can run a Microsoft memory diagnostic program to determine is they are faulty.

The software is free from Microsoft from here:

Also, always try to stick with a 'known' brand (kingston, samsung, etc).

Noise inside cabinet

FIRSTLY if you have warrenty use it if not use the following steps .Open up your computer DONT TOUCH ANYTHING INSIDE , discharge yourself by touching an unpainted surface then proceed, turn on the pc Sound can vary one way that you can determine the source of noise is stoppping the fans whilst it is on one by one to determine the source.you can remove the cd /dvd from any optical drive (dvd cd drive) .And 2nd you could tell if the hard drive is crashing if you hear a reoccuring clicking sound or a whirr of which the hard drive is crashing.Depending on your manufacturer of hard drive download their hard drive diagnostics program and check for bad sectors if there is an increasing number of it occuring then your hard drive would definately be in trouble.Any sign of this vibration can be caused by vibration so try to keep all the screws tightened .
