Need to switch Kyocera 7135 from US Cellular to Alltel

My Alltel account is charging me roaming fees because my replacement 7135 was set up for US Cellular, out of the box! They cannot change it at Alltel. Anyone else had this issue and what can I do? I tried a Blackberry and hate it in comparison to the 7135, so really want to keep this new 7135. They are amazing phones.

SOURCE: my 7135 kyocera is locked to verizon service i need the code to unlock so that i can use the phone with my current service provider, the phone is a gift my sister the previous owner

All you need to do is install palm desktop. This should have been included with the CD in your package. If for some funny reason it is not, go to here.

But don't forget to plug in the USB/Serial cable (whichever you prefer to use), then, select USB or serial after installing palm desktop (just right click the HotSync manager and if your choice isn't selected, go ahead and do so).

Hope this helps!

How do I change billing to different credit card, and can I make calls from Europe while using my Consumer Cellular card?

FIXYA unpaid volunteers cannot arrange your cellphone or credit cards.

It appears you are asking about cell phone calling but I may have misunderstood your question.

Call Consumer Cellular Customer Support toll free at
(888) 345-5509

https://www.consumercellular.com/Help/international-rates/roaming
You can use your Consumer Cellular service when traveling outside the U.S. by enabling international roaming. The countries where our service can be used are listed here.
Consumer Cellular utilizes multiple network providers. The network provider your specific cellular service uses determines international roaming availability. To confirm your international roaming options, contact Customer Support at (888) 345-5509. We recommend doing so at least two weeks before leaving the U.S.
On some networks with Consumer Cellular, usage incurred from the countries listed will be billed at international roaming rates of $0.30 per talk minute, $0.10 per text message, and $0.25 per MB of data usage. On other networks with Consumer Cellular, those costs can be much higher, or international roaming may not be available. Be aware that when using your phone internationally, charges can add up, so it is always best to use on a more limited basis. For your protection, service will be disabled once we have received billing records showing $50 in international roaming charges has been incurred on your account during a billing period (this includes calls, text messages, and web data). Due to delays in receiving billing records, your charges will likely have exceeded $50 when international access is disabled.

How to roaming

You can go to Settings, then Cellular Data. There's the "Data Roaming" switch that you could turn off.

Have a nice trip!

My lg phone says im roaming when im not and it wont let me send out text's or recieve

Your phone is programmed with parameters to trancieve from a particular network. It roams when you're outside the coverage area or when the programming parameters have been altered in some way. Check your settings or refer to the network's programming unit to have the parameters entered correctly... then you'll be connected to the network services.

Alltel Bill question

On Alltel U prepaid, you get two free features for 75 cents a day, three for $1.00 a day, and four for $1.25 a day.

The four features offered are unlimited text messaging, unlimited night and weekends (N&W), unlimited mobile to mobile (M2M), and unlimited calls any one number. You decide which ones you want.

The fee is charged every day, regardless of usage or not.

The only way to not get charged every day is to switch to the pay-per-minute plan or get a monthly plan.
