Your problem may be a simple as paper dust.
Take all the covers off get a can of canned air and blow out everywhere you can reach especially in the areas where there are or my be sensors. Be careful not to spay to much in one place or you'll end up with condensation and then condensation problems.
I see you did not get an answer on the Ricoh AC205L problem. No power.....I have 4 of these machines with the same problem. Did you find anything out? Vendors want too much money for a board replacement. The machine would be a throw away and not recomended to buy Ricoh again, unless I can find a reasonable fix. (Component replacement, etc......)
The only reason they shouldn't print is due to a technical problem. There are no error messages or red lights at all?? That's very strange. It must be a software glitch of some sort. You can do a memory clear to empty it out and perhaps restore the proper functioning, but it does set the machine right back to factory defaults, so you will have some settings to restore afterward. You can get the manual here if you don't have it. Memory reset procedure is on page 8.2:
