Re:
Pirating is illeagal and i cannot condone it but if you want to bother with it get a mod chip to play back ups checkout easybuy2000.com they sell mod chips for various consoles, or at least they did when the original xbox was still new, anyway if you want to play movies early generation ps2 may be able to play dvd backups, must be the entire disk with the protection copied (an exact imageg of the original dvd) also some usb addons for this are now available, if you have a psx(pre psone playstations with the expansion slot on the rear preferably) can very easily be done, all you need is one real psx game and either a non cdx (mem card and cd style) games shark or pro action replay (i prefer the par) using a lego peice or an m3 screw(standard pc case screw) and a cd case prop the lid open and use the case to hold it half closed, the disk will spin as if it where closed and can be swaped with the backup disk once the system is booted to the gs or par screen, at this point the disk will stop spinning after verifing the disk is legit, then you swap with the back up and start the game with or without cheats, some versions of the psx will double check if it does its not an early enough version., sorry about the length if you need more details email me, [email protected]
Well, it is pirated so often you need a cheap DVD to play those types of movies and the PS2 won't play those. The PS1 will, but they came up with the system so that you could not sell a $50 video game for $5. Buy the real game.

Consoles, such as the PS2, must be 'modded', or have a device installed to bypass media checks in order to play backups. If you do not have the original game, you should not be attempting to play a backup.
you need to have a modded ps2 to play pirated movies which are not official copies if you are using an original dvd copy then try keeping a weight say a small mobile charger or a small book on the ps2 if you are using the slim ps2
sorry buddy you cant unlock a ps2 to play pirated games. but depending on what kind of ps2 you have you can modify it to play your copied games if it is a fat ps2 you will need to buy a modchip for it or if you have a slim ps2 like mine all you have to do is order some swap magic discs at modchip.ca or .com then modify your slime line with a fliptop cover or the cheap free way is to use the tape and tissue mod that i use( just google tape and tissue mod) i play all my copied games and they work just fine. you can even play the classics such as sega genesis or supernes. afterdawn.com is an awsome website for all your ps2 modding needs it has all the guides from burning games to modding your ps2
^^ hoped tht helps
This may be because DVD movies have a reigion code on the disk and on a pirated disk this code may be removed. When the ps2 fails to find the code, it aborts playing the disk. I believe the regional lockout for games (which i assume you have disabled) is a different system to DVD lockouts.
you can not play a pirated cd because of different region you need the assistance of a technician by modifying this, probably the change of the lens is the correct answer
Sir I have brought ps2 on may 15th of this year by keeping the pirated cd~s I am not getting the game
