Bosh dishwasher SHU33A02UC not heating water, runs and runs....

We are assuming that there might be a faulty connection in the control panel that controls heating. How can we check and repair?

Check with multi-meter for power on the heating element's tags. If it does get power, you should replace the heating element. In case of no power- you should replace the thermostat. Good luck!

Similar problem for us turned out to be water accumulating in the tray which set off the float switch.  I vacuumed the water out and function returned to normal.  However, we are now facing a repairman's assertion the clay in our well clogged the water inlet systems necessitating $285 in repair parts and labor.

SOURCE: My Bosch dishwasher stays running in the wash

A solution to this problem would be to sell me your dishwasher. The law firm for which I work is looking to acquire an old unrepaired Bosch SHU 33 dishwasher for some ongoing litigation. If you (or anyone else with this model Bosch) could send me some details regarding your dishwasher, you may be able simply to buy a whole new dishwasher. My email is JFraser -at- jshlawmi.com.

Thanks!

How to fix a bosh dishwasher with E 01 code

The E01 error may mean that the water flow into the washer is restricted or that the flow meter is not reading correctly. Sometimes the control board near the washer inlet is faulty and can't read the signal from the flow meter or send that message to the control panel.

First check your shut-off for the dishwasher and make sure that it is open. Next turn the valve off and disconnect the inlet hose. Connect a new hose to the valve and position a bucket under the hose. Open the valve and check the water flow. If you have good water flow, try connecting this new hose to the inlet of the dishwasher. (Unplug the dishwasher. For an under-cabinet dishwasher, you'll need to pull the washer out. Make sure to keep the discharge hose from pulling loose. Then disconnect the old hose from the fitting and connect the new hose instead. Then slide the washer carefully back into place without pinching the hoses or cables.)

If you add a comment with the model number, I may be able to give more specific directions and replacement part information. Of course, if the dishwasher is under warranty, contact Bosch.

I hope this helps.

I have a Westinghouse SB915SJ*00 dishwasher. It runs right through a cycle but does not heat. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hello

The majority of dishwashers are not connected to hot water from the mains but heat up the water internally using the heating element, located in the tub of the dishwasher, controlled by a thermostat. When the dishwasher has a fault with heating, the program will run but not complete and will show an error code on the display panel. Dishes won't be cleaned properly and the detergent won't dissolve.

If your dishwasher does bring in hot water externally from the mains to check the water is warm and there are no problems with the inlet. If the dishwasher heats internally then it is most likely a faulty heating element or thermostat. A fault like this will usually require a replacement part and a repair, but you can check the heating element with a voltmeter to ensure that it is the cause of the problem before calling out for a service engineer.

Bosh dishwasher modle shu330cu not draining or lighting up

First...make sure you visit the Bosch dishwasher recall website as this model is under the recall with a faulty controller which may cause a fire! Check your model under http://microsites.boschappliances.com/safetyrecall/dishwasher/
then call 800.856.9226 to setup a recall repair appointment. We just found out about this recall and was never notified by Bosch even though we registered our unit after we purchased it...talk about poor customer service! Hope this helps!

How do I cancel the delay start? Everytime I turn...

Hi Guest and welcome to Fixya, I don't think what you're describing is the delay start, but rather a problem with one of the heating component's and most likely the heater relay on the electronic control. Likely if you let the unit operate from that point of displaying "2H" it will run and run for several hours and not heat the water. You can confirm this by pulling out the control and visually inspecting the printed circuit side of the control. Look for a burnt solder on the opposite side of the largest relay ( black or orange retangular box ). That will confirm the heater relay is faulty and the control either needs to be replaced or repaired if you are capable of resoldering the board. Let me know what you find and I'll try and assist you further if you require any. Thanks for visiting "fixya" today and good luck moving forward. Macmarkus :)

The clean light keeps blinking and won't run new cycle

Whirlpool & Kitchen-Aid
Tall Tub Dishwashers
PROBLEM: STOPPED RUNNING, WILL NOT START AND CLEAN LED BLINKS 7 TIMES, THEN REPEATS (WATER HEATING FAULT)
Control is programmed to stop running and not allow any further
cycles if it detects a water heating problem (no temperature
increase detected in heated Main Wash cycle or in 3 consecutive
cycles on the latest software version). Control blinks the Clean
LED 7 times repeatedly and disables the Start/Resume key until
cleared.
Running Diagnostics clears the control and allows it
to operate again. The water heating condition
must be corrected or the control will stop
running again. See potential causes below.
Check If…
Heater circuit problem:
♦ Open heater.
♦ Wire disconnected, open connection or component
in heater circuit.
♦ Faulty heater drive circuit on control.
Then…
1. Check operation of heater in Diagnostics cycle.
2. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
3. Check resistance of heater and all components
and connections in the water heating circuit or heat
dry circuit.
Door switch not making contact consistently:
♦ Misaligned door latch assembly (which can be
aggravated by high door closure force keeping
strike plate from fully seating).
♦ Faulty door switch (high resistance).
♦ Loose or missing installation anchor screws,
causing tank to shift in cut-out.
NOTE: Neutral switch on plastic tub models is only in series with
the heater; other loads are not affected.
1. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
2. Measure resistance of door switch contacts while
checking mechanical operation of latch assembly.
Confirm switches not loose from assembly. Check
strike plate and door closure.
Wash pump not pumping water past the heater efficiently.
• Foreign object in pump
• Excessive foaming
• Clogged pump screen or broken chopper screen
• Loose electrical connection in motor circuit
See Tech Sheet “WASH PUMP WILL NOT PUMP”.
Lack of water to heat. (Unit not filling properly)
• Insufficient water supply pressure
• Fill valve screen blocked or valve not opening fully
• Loose electrical connection on Fill Valve.
• Float switch obstructed or functioning abnormally
See Tech Sheet “WILL NOT FILL OR LOW
WATER”.
