Question about JVC GR-D350 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Hi, I want to transfer my recording to my PC, but I am not able to connect my GR-D350U to the PC. I looked into the support, it's mentioned somewhere that DirectX 8.1a is required whereas I already have DirectX 9c. Please help. Thanks in advance. Tarun

First check whether you have a DV port in your desktop, in case you dont have it, buy a IEEE1394 firewire card and install it on your mother board in one of the PCI slots. As soon as you restart your system the system will recognize your new firewire card, then connect the camera and pc through a fire wire card. As soon as you put the power button of camera ON the system will recognize your camera. Then using any video editing software you can download.

Hi, thanks for replying.
I already have done all this, my camera doesn't get recognized by PC when I put the power button ON.
Where to go further from here?

I bought a firewire card and installed it. I checked the device manager and there was no yellow question mark. I plugged the cord to the JVC camcorder. In windows movie maker I clicked on the capture from video device and nothing happened. It said that the device was not detected.
I Have connect my JVC GR-D320E to Acer TravelMate 6292, but nothing happened. Now device detected. I tried to capture using Window Movie Maker, also not found the camera.
Should we hear any beep when connecting jvc to ieee. I test the cable.. cable okey. using 4pin to 4 pin IEEE1394.
