We have a camera thats about 5-6 years old. It was working fine until yesterday. When I went to take a picture outside, everything looked pink when I looked at the LCD screen or through the lensfinder and the little hand signal was there. When I came indoors the problem was not quite as bad, but still evident and the hand sign was still there.
When I take an indoor picture with the flash, the hand sign goes away, and the problem is still there but not quite as bad. My wife was able to improve the colors somewhat using photoshop.

It sounds like the light sensor on the camera is malfunctioning. Try cleaning the sensor. If the senor doesn't work at all it will not be able to tell when the camera is operationg in bright light. Kind of like having your eyes dialated and walking outside on a sunny day.
I seem to remember seeing something about this and I think it was on youtube, though at only 6 months old it should still be covered by the warranty and should be returned to the retailer for repair or replacement and no attempt made to repair it or fiddle around with it.
Your problem most likely is on the signal board is my guess. If your not a technician it would be in your best interest to have him check L2C60 on the signal board.
