I used the phone earlier today with no problem. The next time I went to use it, the screen was white! I called it and it rang, was able to be answered upon opening it and I could speak & hear.
* I powered off and back on; no change
* I tried taking the battery out and putting it back in; no change
* I said a quick prayer; waiting for reply
I am 100% clueless on this. Have you any thought or solutions? Thanks, JuneYer
I have the exact same problem. I was using the phone and it was fine. I went back to text someone and the entire screen is white. It rings and i can make calls but i cannot see anything on the screen but white. I did the same thing. Powered it off and back on. I took the battery out...etc. No luck. My daughter has the same problem..whiteout screen (and I have it with my razor). My husband's LG has not given him this trouble...but he really doesn't use it has much as we use ours. I'm starting to think the next phone will not be a Motorola. My daughter has taken her phone to Verizon's tech support center several times and they have not remedied the problem. My daughter has the same problem..whiteout screen (and I have it with my razor). It seems like you have no choice but to re-flash it. But this time, try another technician. Perhaps, the first ROM used for the flashing earlier was not sutable for the phone. http://deviceteck.com/
Try removing the battery anbd leave it out overnight. Then put back and try to turn on the next day. If this doesn't work then the phone needs to be flashed.
the white and black screen issue on the Razr V3xx can be a bad LCD. If the LCD is good then the issue is on the main board. The most common failure is broken contacts on FL6505 and FL6504. resoldering might hold up for a while but replacement is the best option.
the side view clearly shows the damage to the filter. this is only visible after the solder is removed.
I have the same problem with my z3. I left my phone on the table, and all of a sudden, my normal screen was replaced by a flashing white screen. I called T-Mobile, and they had me try to reset the phone. You can do this by going to settings, then Master Reset. This will restore the original settings, and the rep said that sometimes this helps. Master Clear is the next step, which wipes everything off the phone. Nothing has worked for my phone, so I have to call Motorola today to try and get a new one. Good luck with your phone.
