How do you put the staps back together after washing the carseat cover of a Costco Scenera 5 point carseat.. Not sure what to do with the metal piece in the back after I put the straps through. Cannot get the straps to anchor down so they don't come out..
There are loops at the end of the harness straps. Feed the curved part of the Y plate through the loop of the strap that's on the same side of the seat. Pull it all the way through, so that the fatter part on the ends of the metal plate are exposed and curve around a bit beyond the strap so that it doesn't slip back off. Do the same with the other side.
Now adjust the harness to fit your child. When it's tightened properly, you should not be able to pinch up any slack, lengthwise, at the hips or shoulders, and it should lie in a straight line down the front, with no drooping. Also adjust the chest clip - in order for it to do it's job properly, it needs to lie in line with the child's armpits, not up in the neck or down over the belly.

Do you have a company name for this product? Graco, Cosco? If you do I can look up an online manual for you as there is most likely a diagram to make my description easier for you to visualize. At any rate you need to insert 2 of the straps (the ones with the pieces to snap into the buckle at the **** ) through the back side (aline your child with the slots to ensure correct placement. You want the belt to come out just above the shoulder) DId you take this completely apart to wash? If so you will need to slip on the chest buckle pieces as well. Hope this helps. I can help better if you are able to get back with the company name so I can get the manual for you. :)
ok I had such a hard time with this, i looked on the internet for hours and found NOTHING!! haha so i went to babies r us and checked out a similar one so here it is. first the strap goes on the bottom, pull them even and the add the buckle, plastic buckle thing, and the other thing soft thing. then put the strap through the back of the seat (you should have two ends) not the must go OVER the adjusts! now take the metal piece that adjust the length and pull it long enough for it to reach the two straps and hook them up!! haha if this isnt good enough go to a store that carries the alpha omega elite car seats and check it out! GOOD LUCK!!
