Ok I have this problem with trying to chat on XBOX live and me and my friend are trying to talk and it wont let me join the chat and the day before it wouldn't even let me talk at all, what the hell is going on?
This problem occurs when your NAT settings on your router are "restricted". Open port 3074 on your router for UDP and TCP and the problem will be resolved! The ironic thing is that I am on here leaving this solution because my Xbox is currently broken! Microsoft suck I have had 5 Xbox consoles and they have all broken I suggest getting a PS3!

First off:
Do a hardware check. Are you both plugging directly into a cable modem / DSL modem or are you both using routers?
If either of you is using a router there are several items to check:
Go to your "System Settings" for your xbox360 and go to "Network Settings" and look for the IP address that your particular console is receiving from your router. Then go into your routers settings (usually typing in 192.168.1.1 in a browser will get you there) and look for "DMZ" and place the IP address from your console in that box. This will allow all traffic in and out to that particular IP.
If you provide this additional information I could help you more specifically: Router Make and Model, IP address of xbox360 console, if you are using wired or wireless, internet service provider.

XboxLearn how to set up and use the Netflix app on your Xbox 360 console. ... and install the app. To start the Netflix app later, go to apps, My Apps, and then Netflix.
Hi. Based on the details given, I don't have enough information to help you directly. However, click here to use Microsoft's official XBOX Live Connection Troubleshooting Wizard. Hope this helps!
Step 1
Form your Xbox 360 you need to be connected to the Internet by a straight LAN line or wirelessly. You can test you connection by going to the setting screen on your Xbox 360.
Step 2
Once connected to the Internet for your Xbox 360 go to your main account screen and find the tab that says "Join Xbox LIVE" click on that link then follow the simple instructions that the Xbox LIVE will provide. At this point you should have a name in mind for your gamer tag.
Step 3
Xbox 360 LIVE has several different options available for memberships. They are a monthly, 3-month and 12-month membership accounts. I would recommend a simple one month account if you just wanted to check out the features offered on XBOX 360 LIVE. If your an avid gamer and love to play games online with friends, the 12-month Gold membership is the way to go.
Step 4
Once you've completed the process of joining Xbox 360 LIVE, they will send you a confirmation email confirming your membership. Now you can log on to Xbox 360 LIVE and start doing this like customizing your avatar and playing online multi-player games.
if you try power cycling your modem and router it usually works, otherwise youd have to have someone else host and both of you join, then have the host leave. just microsofts way of keeping people apart lol
This problem is because of your router settings. You'll need to log into your router and make sure the UPNP is enabled. This should solve your problem.
Is your Internet connection able to Reach to the Xbox 360?? If it is then you probably have to try asking a friend to join your game to see if it works. If it doesn't work then try moving the Xbox 360 closer to your Wireless Connection. O Btw... People dont always join your games.
