Do get on to the Samsung Tech Support team - in case this is a known issue.
An out of warranty repair is not a likely scenario however.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use Windows Photo Gallery or any other photo cataloging program.
Many people find it more convenient to just take the memory card out of the camera and put it in a card reader, especially now that these readers are built into computers and printers. You can't get the pics from the camera's internal memory that way though.
No . The pictures that are stored on the SD card can be downloaded on to the PC as the images are stored on to the card and will not be deleted unless you do with the camera menu or the PC.
Once the SD card is taken out remove the battery and tryt o tap lightly on the camera with the hood down. It might release any jamming . repeat with the battery put in , with the power ON.
If not contact Samsung service.
take the memory card out. there is a tiny usually white switch on the memory card itself that is in the locked position. move the switch to the unlocked position.
an idea passed over my head just now
several ideas
was the camera droped
was the camera exposed to heat
was the camera exposed to static electricity
was the camera exposed to water or liquids
ect.
if these or other things happened to camera
the shutter inside camera has malfunctioned due to the reasons
first try to do the ff: -try to power reset (take off battery for 1-2 mins & put battery back) -BP tried using fresh batteries
(try to replace battereis for your camera)
If you ahd tried those options, i suppose you camera needs service now, contact samsung back, do the ff:
-go to samsungcamerausa.com -click on customer service on the upper right portion of website -provide product code and e-mail address -provide all other necessary information in registration process -take note of service center address -read all shipping reminders -send camera to service center address provided
samsung service center will do the repair for you camera or if the problem is unrepairable, they will send you replacement camera, if its still udner warranty. tried this option and now my camera is working.
