Packets sent but not received on wireless network. Kindly solve the problem and suggest me in this regard.

The problem is the wireless card in your computer cannot connect to your wireless router.
Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access. The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, configure the router'swireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPAor WPA2 encryption key and then configure wireless cards in the laptops and orcomputers with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router.

I need to set a password on my router so no one else can acsess it

Hi coachman2526,

I would like to help you with your concern regarding your Wireless Routers password / security.

I believe that when you say password on your Router so no one else can access it that you mean no one will be able to get internet connection from your Router is that correct?.

Follow these steps below to secure your Wireless connection to prevent others from accessing your Routers Wireless signal.

* First open your Internet Explorer browser, clear the address bar and type in your Encore IP address which is 192.168.1.1 then press Enter on the keyboard.
* Once you have the Encore settings page, click on the Wireless tab on the left of the settings page.
* In the Wireless settings select enable on the wireless, and on the SSID you change it to your name so you can detect your router once you connect wireless.

I hope this will be helpful regarding your concern.

Have a nice day,

I am having problems with setting up my printer (Epson TX710W) to run remotely from my router. When I attempt to setup the router it wants me to use it for internet connection but I am running my internet...

Hi Robert_fl657,

For any printer to run on the network (wired or wiireless), aside from just a router, you will need a print server. Now, since this printer has wireless capabilities, i am going to assume that you might have a wireless prinet server built in (WPS). If your wireless router does not have that function, i suggest you buy a wireless print server to accomodate the printer that you would want to hook up.

Possible Solution 1: Sync wireless printer with WPS button on wireless router

1. Try and locate the WPS button (if any) on the wireless router.
2. Once located, go to the network options on the wireless printer and select set up by WPS.
3. Once you have selected that option, the printer should be in a seeking mode. Select and hold the WPS Button down on the wireless router.
4. If all goes well, you should have established connectivity with the wireless router.

I hope the above information helped. Please do let me know if there are other queires regarding this. Also, pls remeber to vote for me if you find this solution useful. Thank you.

When my dad updated the router. and now i cant use wifi on my ipod touch all it says is unable to join network can someone please help

Hi Judesbalsamo,

Apprently, when your dad updated the router, he much have enabled some form of wireless security. Either that, or he has changed the SSID name of the router altogther (which shouldnt affecrt muchm, just a change in router name). Either way, you might want to check back with your dad if he has enabled wireless security and get the details from him.

I hope the above information helped. Please do let me know if there are other queires regarding this. Also, pls remeber to vote for me if you find this solution useful. Thank you.

Can I use old 2wire router to connect PC to new wireless router?

Hi, You can not use a router to connect a computer to another wireless router. You need to purchase a wireless adapter if you want to connect a computer wirelessly to the network. There seems no other way of doing this.

Let me know if you need any further help regarding this.
