Motorola V3 My V3 does not light up when opened, does no answer when opened and does not show caller on front screen when recieving a call. As I have just fitted a new cover I guess that there is a sensor which is incorrectly aligned! Can anyone tell me where the sensor is that detects whether the phone is open or closed?
You may have improperly closed the phone when you changed the cover............and messed up the flex cable that connect the display to the main board.

try to copy all the contacts on a paper then delete all the ph book contacts and write them again make shure that when you write the phone number with the area code if its like that on your ph book
I had the same problem. I sent it back to Motorola for warranty. They fixed it and said it was a connection issue. The connection between the screen and the keys came unplugged. This is a regular problem they have with this phone. The phone is poor quality!!!!
