Sounds like you need a new thermostat or cold control for the unit. take the model number and make to the parts house and they willl get you a new one. when you take the old one out be sure to put the new one in the exact same place. here's a good web site to read up on the installation http://www.appliancerepair.net/apnet/frameset?http://www.appliancerepair.net/apnet/refr/toc.htm
good luck

Water dispenser line frozen, items freezing in fridge side. Freezer constantly running/blowing

Your freezer is what actually cools the refrigerator. The cool air enters from that spot on the top left of the freezer. Make sure that isn't blocked. It's sounds like the thermostat that controls the air flow from the freezer to the refrigerator isn't working or the air flow control device is stuck.

Either way if you can, unload and unplug the unit. This will do to things. First it will reset the circuits that control everything and secondly if the air flow control is frozen thawing out the refrigerator and freezer may free it up.

I have a Hotpoint, model # Hsm25gfre sa, that is cooling and freezing unevenly. Everything onthe bottom half of the freezer is frozen and the top half is thawing. Also, the water in the ice maker is not...

Make sure that the freezer fan is working and circulating the cold air. Then check the damper assembly to make sure that cold air is being circulated into the refrigerator. And lastly make sure that the self defroster is working - if not the evaporator will freeze up, freezer temps go up, and ice maker will not work if freezer temps are 10 degrees or higher. A digital refrigerator thermometer will confirm freezer temps being high.

Everything freezes in the refrigerator bottom drawers - no matter what we set the temp in the freezer or refrigerator, everythign freezes.

Make sure the vents from the freezer to the fridge are not blocked by ice etc. One is at the bottom and one at the top. The on at the top is adjusted open or closed when you adjust the fridge temp. Make sure it's working. Also make sure the fan in the freezer is circulating the air from the freezer through the vent at the top.

My fridge in my fridge freezer keeps freezing everything in it.

If the fridge side is frozen you have a door seal issue.
If the freezer side is frozen you have a defrost component issue.
Your post was not clear as to which side is frozen.
