How do you fix a sony psp when u turn it on and only the green light shows

    i turn the psp on but the screen does not come up.but the power button does

Hi,

Sorry about the problem you are having with your psp, meanwhile you can follow the simple steps that I'll outline below to see if the problem can be fixed.

Step 1. Switch off the psp and make sure it is not connected to any power source, then pull out the battery and fix it back.

Step 2. Switch it back on, and if it does show only the green light without having the screen come on, then i guess the screen could be damaged or other associated screen components.

Step 3. Don't open the psp because you are technical enough, please take it to a sony center closest to you and you'll have the screen changed or the associated component/componnts.

If the green light doesn't come on you will have to charge it. Now if the green light does come on depending on the model you may be able to fix it yourself. If it is a newer psp you will have to send it in to Sony for repair.

Seems like a bad update or a bad flash. If either Pandora's Battery is the only thing that will help if you are out of warrenty.

PSP is not working at all
The PSP battery you are using may be damaged. If the PSP turns on, this shouldn't be a problem, but to fix the green light not showing, just by a new battery from Wal-Mart or K-Mart.

Psp screen
It seems that you have a bricked PSP it can be fixed with a pandoras battery, or if you have a warranty send it to Sony. Other than that there is no hope (unless you get a new mother board).

My psp is broke
if when you try to turn it on it shows the green light for about 10-30 sec. then shuts off by itself it means you have a bricked PSP which you can fix by using a Pandora battery which you can make by reading some tutorials or you can buy them off ebay.

my son's psp 1001 sony brand will turn on and charge we bought a new battery for it, but when he trys to play a game it won't run it will start to turn the disc then it will stop and the umd symbol don't even show up in the game catagories i need help to fix it..
