Wont start properly...

My mp3 player takes forever to start and when it finally does it comes up with a warning about a missing font file, and none of the finnish bands I listen to display properly, because it wont display the special letters used in the Suomi language. I can eventually MTP connect it to the PC, but I can't USB connect it to replace the font file. I have been slightly clumsy in the past with it, but it was working fine when I left the house, and when I used it in town, but when I tried to use it on my way home, it just didn't do anything.

Missing Font File Error SOLUTION:

After formatting you can sometimes loose your font file. To replace it simply download the font file from here: http://www.3friends.co.uk/j70/index.php. Then when viewing the folders on your player make sure the 'System' folder is visible (Tools>Folder Options>Do not hide hidden folders). Simply put font file you downloaded into the System folder on your player.

My cd player taked forever to start playing my burned cd

2001, jeep, "new technology on old IRON?"
burned, burned what? did you RIP a CDDA disc to CDR
or burn a bunch of MP3? , my guess you RIPPED it.?

you expect burned CD to work? CDR or CDRW?
if you read the product datasheet for the actual player it will
list all formats that work (few) back then. RBB was zero.
its not weird, it's history,
there are many formats, for CD.
car CD began with CDDA, discs (like sold on the shelf in a store)
those are not file formatted, its track formatted like an an old LP album. (wiki CDDA)
then came file formats. (vast types. MP3 tops.)
there are 3 levels here.
CDR format.
then file types
last music encoding formats(complex)_ask
i can tell you that not all formats are supported on old cars. few to none.
some do SEEM? to work, but are flaky
and after 13years, not at all or more falky, (weak laser, optics dirty)

why not up grade and use USB sticks. ?????
CDs are pretty dead now.

which player, there are many? in dash.?
http://www.wjjeeps.com/radios.htm#AMFMCD

note the lack of CDR play back ( and all others) until 2002.
and even the 2002 is limited.
all car head ends are limited.
for max files.
max folder.s
max files in folder.

just because a CDR pays in a head end that does not support it
means ZERO, as some heads can see some data and attempt to play it blindly, it's just a very dumb headend. (dumb to a fault)

there are endless posts of users trying 100s of ways to fool it
some can,/ most can't (but is not supported so......)

if really curious. post head end ID , like RBB?
we can get the full spec. on that head.

and this,?
http://www.kigmaradioshop.com/servlet/the-46/RBN-RBB-P04858584AE-P04858584AH/Detail

my new jeep supports all these , yours dont
Supported formats are: CDDA, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3,WMA, DVD Video, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, and CDDA+MP3
(this support is progressive from 2002 to present day)

does that help>/?
if not post head end pn. or series class.

Sansa wont turn on after improperly turning it off on a mac!

Yikes! I would reboot, or delete all files that I've imported onto my music player and start from scratch. To avoid this from happening again, make sure you manually "Eject" the hardware before plugging it out.

Hope this helps,

MP3 Player wont play

I've found out how to help this problem. What you have to do is re-download the firmware and reformat the data area.

Download from this site: http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads.aspx?product=25
(If this doesn't autolink, copy and paste it in your browser's address bar.)

And when you run it, click the checkbox for "Format Data Area." When the message comes up saying you want to delete all the files, click "yes-" it's worth deleting all your songs if it works properly afterwards. You'll have to re-sync your songs and the downloads take forever, but it works.

I need help with my mp3

Try formatting the device in My Computer. My Computer>Device Name>Right click on the device and select format. This will erase everything and you should be able to start over. You should not fill the device all the way up, as it need some free space to operate properly. You can add to this question for additional support. Best of Luck.
