Question about Frigidaire FRS26F4C Side by Side Refrigerator

2 Answers

My freezer is defrosting and the frig is squealing intermittently,

It has never done this before. I'm worried the compressor is going. Everything in the freezer is defrosting and water is running out of the freezer even when it is closed. The fridge works fine. I vacuumed the back side but it is still blowing in the freezer but evidently its not freezing. Any ideas? 1angel

The sqealing is coming from the right side bottom of the fridge.

Where is the freezer drain on Whirlpool GI6FARXXF?

you should no worry about it
  • Adaptive Defrost System (ADS)
  • Monitors the compressor run-time and the on time of the evaporator heater.
  • Depending upon usage, ADS models can have fewer defrosts, saving energy and preserving food more efficiently.
  • Remove the base grille, you will plastic pan, condenser take car of drained water.

The freezer side is not keeping food frozen. Every three minutes I hear something turn on and it runs for about xx seconds. The model number is ASD2626HES. The refrigerator side seems fine.

Model KTRS22M freezer is still freezing but refrigerator section is warm. has had a lot of water in drawers and on shelves. Past month or so has made a bang noise when done running.

This could be one of two things. First, your defrost system may have a bad part. check your defrost heaters first, then the s-stat and timer. If these check out OK, then your compressor may be trying to go out. We have parts to get your compressor back up and running and we also have the defrost system parts, also. Please email or call us for parts. I hope this solves your problem. We hope to hear from you soon.

Frigidaire Ultrafreeze upright just stopped working

It sounds as if your compressor it's running. This could be a bad compressor, bad capacitor, bad thermostat. See that there are no fans or defrost, it is one of the other. I would start with checking the capacitor. You can replace it with a Supco 3 in 1. It cost around $30.00. Anything else is going to start costing $100.00 and more. If you need a freezer that big, I would have it fixed unless it ends up being the compressor.

Upright frigidaire freezer not running properly

Sounds like your defrost timer has packed it in you need to fit another timer to it and everything will be as good as new.
by turning the timer you have forced it to run nothing to worry about. It has just stopped in the defrost position. What you have done is the first diagnostic test a tech would have performed. I hope this has helped you out.

My freezer's defrost systems runs constantly

i dont think so i would look at the compressor kicking out on thermal overload or a faulty thermostat thermostats have two settings cut in cut out your cut in could be bad and not turning the compressor on till the temp reaches melting temps now if your hearing a click buzz then you need to look at the compressor and make sure the compressor fan is running but its not a defrost promblem

    Kenmore upright freezer

You should check the drain hose inside underneath the freezer. This is done at the back down below. Mine was looped too high and water could not get out. I took the loop off that was holding the hose and now water can drain away without freezing. You can pour warm water down the drain hole to melt the ice in the tube if you remove the grate covering it inside the freezer. I have read that several Kenmore upright freezer
owners have the same problem. I was astonished that this was the problem and I had put up with it for too long, defrosting the freezer every 2-3 months!.Give it a try!
