Probably your adapter has one ip fixed address.
Check on the network, your ip adapter settings and be sure that the option "obtain the ip address automatically" is selected.

Go to -->> Control Panel --->> Network Connections --->> Select your connection and go to properties --->> in the center field Select internet protocol TCP/IP---then hit--Properties---Go to General and set your connection as automatically there.

Mywifiext net

Have you first established the connection between the Router and the Extender?
If so, have you connected e.g. a laptop to the Extender?
So if your WLAN networks SSID is NETGEAR, the WLAN network of the Extender is NETGEAR_EXT and you have to connect the laptop to NETGEAR_EXT.
Then you have to open your favorit internet browser and have to type in www.mywifiext.net, which I guess is a buildin Setup-Assistant.If this doesn't work, make sure, your laptop is configured, to get an ip address automatically via DHCP.

There might be a problem w/ your IP address or DNS server, try to open LOCAL AREA NETWORK CONNECTION STATUS in your laptop running xp, click support/details, Then copy the DNS server address and alternative dns server address.

open your vista go to Network Connection/LAN properties, then double click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP, mark obtain ip address automatically, then the lower side Mark USE THE FOLLOWING SEVER ADDRESS then paste the dns server address which you copied from xp laptop. same w/ alternate dns server, and then click OK. Notebook acer 5534 windows 7 64 bit cannot connect using wireless netgear wgr614v7, the pc sees the network. Connects ok with ethernet.

Perhaps you have turned on MAC (physical) address filtering on your wireless router/access point? If so, you have to add the MAC address of your new wireless card to the allowed list.

NetGear Wireless Router and connecting using a USB Modem

I think you're saying that you want to set up a Netgear from a wirless port. Is that the ONLY computer you have?

It's not IMPOSSIBLE, but it is improbable. By default, the Netgear has the address 192.168.1.1. If nothing else on your network has that address, it might be possible to plug in the Netgear, set the IP address of your computer to 192.168.1.2-254, and link to 192.168.1.1.

I didn't say easy, just possible. Easy would be to use a computer with a wired ethernet port or grab a friend with a laptop with a wired port. It's a 15-minute job.

My 3 different mac laptops with airport can't connect to my wirless

Sounds like you might be accidentally connecting to a neighbour's network instead of your own. You need to go into your wireless settings on each laptop and tell them to connect to your own network.

Wirless Router

If you're able to print from main PC ,then run printer configuration disk (which you've used to configure printer on main PC) on your Laptop , Provide static IP address to printer & laptop, within same domain(like you can use class c IP address 192.168.1.x (x=2 - 251) & subnet ask 255.255.255.0 ,MAKE SURE THAT IP ADDRESS SHOULD BE DIFFERENT FROM YOUR MAIN PC ELSE THEY'LL RESULT INTO CLASH) .After that try to make a test print. If it doesn't work then check whether ports you're suing for printing are open in your Firewall inside laptop (If there is Firewall), Also win XP sp-2 Home adition has built in Firewall try to print after disabling it.
