There is hope. My AC power supply on my Avion (same as Protron now called SpectronIQ) 32" HDTV died in February, a year and half after buying on ShopNBC. I just got my new power supply a couple of days ago. They kept telling me to call back in 7-10 days every time I called. I contacted Maggie Scheel ([email protected]) at ShopNBC and Martin Orozco ([email protected]) at Protron. Many emails and phone calls later I finally got it. I did have to send a check for $79.99. Keep trying.
Has anyone gotten any further on this AC adapter problem? I have not and have found the exact same as what everyone else has been saying. I am not happy about this and prepared to take it further. I am going to get on the state of MO Attorney General's website and file a complaint. Does anyone know if there was suppose to be any sort of manufacturer warranty with these TVs? I am prepared to see how many other people are having the same problem out there as for I am sure this is just the "tip of the iceberg."
Hello, I have a Protron 32 in. TV also. After about a month I saw a few lines verticle on the screen. I called Protron and they were very nice and said thet would send me instructions and a pick up notice for FedX. I received it in about a week. I packaged the tv up and sent it to them. I started calling after about a month and they stated they were waiting for the part to come in to fix it. This went on for about 4 months with me call in every week. Eack time thay would tell me it was going to be ship to me with in 2 weeks. After 4 months I called and was very vocal and stated that if I did not have my tv in 7 days and this was on Wednesday I was going to get on my PC and anybody that did any kind of search on tv's, Protron, Spectrum would know about my problems and how sorry the company was and hung up. The folling Monday I recieved a new tv and it was the newer mdl.I also told them I did not want a repaired tv that i had paid for a new one and would not settle for a repaired one. I have not had and trouble with this tv and it is about a year old. I hope you may be able to do the same thing.

I just got off the phone with Protron at 888-257-8899 and they told me very politely that they would be happy to place an order for me for a new AC adapter, however, right now they are on back order and I should call back in 8 - 10 days to place an order. I told him I don't understand why I need to call back and why I cannot place the order now. He said this is the way they work items that are on B/O. I asked him if they have been having a problem with the adapters and that is why they are on B/O. He said no. This does not smell good to me. Has anyone been able to purchase this adapter from Protron/spectron 1Q or whomever they are? I purchased my TV from Shop NBC and I know Sears carried them at one time.
