Can't dial out on my Packet8 phone and the web site won't come up

I can't make phone calls and can't find the packet8 web site to log into my account, started just minutes ago

Can't find the information on the website either. It appears that packet 8 has packed up and going home.

They are owned by the 8x8 inc. They still appear to be in business.

Give the parent company a call and see if they are still in business.

My v-tech phone will not set to EST. It goes back to Pacific time as soon as the phone rings.

The key is "as soon as the phone rings". Who's ringing it? I had one of those on Packet8. I had to go to their website and get the instructions to change the time offset in the Packet8 ATA. Check with your dial tone provider for a solution. Carl

Can't set up the correct local time

The trick is to set the time and never have anyone call you :-)

Or, contact whoever your CID provider is and tell them the clock offset is wrong. In my case, I have a Packet8 box and I had to go in and make the time correct for my time zone. Access instructions were on their web site.

Whoever is controlling the incoming calls is sending a different time zone. If it's the telco, call them. If it's a VoIP carrier like Vonage or Packet8, get them to let you log into the box and change the time zone offset.

How to set the number of rings before the machin answers

Log into your Vonage account and change the number of rings or seconds to intercept for VM. In my Packet8 service, I can set a number of parameters for dual ring, intercept, and/or turn voice mail on and off. The last time I worked on a customer's Vonage we could do the same.

Not getting System Information Screen

BGP510-->PC....make sure computer getting correct default gateway as u said. if so, go to command-prompt and do ping for default gateway & see whether it is pinging successfully.

if it is pinging, then go to browser settings and clear the cache, history, temp files, etc., and Try again.

- If it is not pinging successfully, then it might be DHCP issue on the device ( BGP510 ).

- you may also try to assign Static IP on the computer to access the web-interface.
