Toner alarm stays on with new cartridge

I have an older Okifax 2350 that had been stored for a few years. Plugged it back in...and it sends faxes fine. The alarm light came on, the LCD shows ''toner low''...I buy a new cartridge, install it, and the alarm light won't turn off, the toner won't feed and it will not print a page. The user's manual suggests to change the drum, the MCNT board etc... geesh. Is there something specific I should be looking for? I ran the print cleaner utility several times without success... I need ideas!

Printhead is dried up and may need to be replaced. The printhead usually has a life kinda like the inks. You should be able to find a printhead from your local fax repair shop and installation should be simple. Once replaced you may install inks and run several cleaning cycles. Please let me know if this helped.

I have an Okifax 2350. It sends faxes fine but won't print. The screen says "Paper Jam" and "Replace Paper." I am fairly certain there is NO paper jammed anywhere in the machine. ...

Yes, it could be a sensor. Remove the toner and drum assys as well as the paper cassette and look for the sensor actuators. Usually black plastic pieces that will move a bit. Blow them out with air and see if that doesn't help. Let me know.

Have a Okifax 5400 - changed toner and drum but still getting blank line down side of the page. Any way to fix?

clean the LED array with a soft cloth or tissue or the alcohol wipe that comes with new toner cartridges if you still have it. open the cover to expose the drum on the bottom side of cover is a black bar(LED ARRAY) as wide as the drum but about a half inch thick wipe the bottom side that will face the drum when the cover is closed

Toner life end

There is no reset code the likely thing is that you have a faulty toner cartridge. Put another new one in and check the machine then.

Before you try the above shake the toner cartridge and tap it some more as it may also be the toner inside have become solid and needs breaking up.

Hope one of the above works for you

Samsung SF5100 has a loud buzzing noise

Hi there you might have a faulty toner cartridge is it a original or has it been refilled? I suggest to install a new toner cartridge and hopefully that will cure the fault. If this dosen't there maybe a small piece of paper stuck in the cartridge or after the toner cartridge within the heat section open the back of the machine (the jam door) and check there is no paper.

If the printed document is getting stuck just after the toner cartridge it will most likely to be the heat section will need replacing.

Hope this helps you and please rate me
Thanks J
