Question about Dell 810 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Just installing 810 all-in to brand new Dimension 520 dell it came with, printer functions fine, when trying to scan, it just balloons "Scan Not Successful" and the usual not that helpful suggestions regarding checking connections and power cords and re-starting comp. Of course USB and Power must be good or else the print side of the machine woildnt work.Cannot do test scan preview, the options for scanning on the scan and copying tab don't seem to illuminate. Any suggestions to [email protected], desperate to scan images for ebay items, good old Canon scanner which always installed in 5 mins with no issues, wont plug into this ***** computer which has no 25 pin sockets, usb connections only.
Uninstall and reinstall the software. Normally the software installed on the computer controls the scanner functions for the all in one dell stuff. Check dells site also for any updates that might correct this issue.

I have the same problem - scanning is non-existent or with coloured lines down the page - lots of clicking noises when it is scanning as well. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software about 4 or 5 times without success, and also done the usual with the cables, just about to send it back, it only arrived on Saturday!
my new laptop computor will not communicate with dell 810 all-in-one printer. please advice anyone
