HI
I have just purchased my New Automatic Coffee machine, i haven't even had a drop of water go through the machine. I am able to set all the functions like water hardness etc however once that is complete the message that i get is Fill Water tank. I have tried turning it off and starting again, restoring factory settings refilling the tank several times but cannot get it past the message. Any suggestions would be appreciated
I contacted the Gaggia Representative who advised that the new machine did not have a weight sensor in the tank. problem solvedI contacted the Gaggia Representative who advised that the new machine did not have a weight sensor in the tank. problem solved
Hello, I have a problem with my Titanium machine. It seems like there is somethin wring with the weight sensor in the water tank, because the message Fill Water is there even if the tank is full.
It seems like the weight sensor do not float up when water is filled in the tank.

When we got ours, i took the back off and taped the magnet to the receiver. this ensures that the message vever appears, it is a very poor set up anyway for waht is an excellent machine. We are careful to ensure that we do not run out of water and this has only happened twice in 4 years - ventilate and your away again.

There is a max fill line mark on the side of the water tank. Fill the water to there or less. Do not fill the water any higher than this line or water will spill out the side where the water inlet hoses run. Also make sure that the tank is not cracked and leaking water.
After many months, I solved the problem of the red light staying on the Tassimo Coffee Maker. Use these easy steps.
1. Fill a 2 cup measuring cup with hot water.
2. Mix in descaler.
3. Pour in the empty water tank.
4. Put the yellow cleaning disk in the chamber and close chamber. Put the two cup measuring cup under the spout.
5. Push and hold the brew button for about 3 seconds (until the red and green light flash.
6. Now don't touch the machine. It will do it's thing for about 20 minutes. (Don't be impatient and start to push buttons, just leave it)
7. When it finishes it's cycle. The red light will turn off. Then clean the water tank and put fresh water and run clean water through the brewing cycle 4 times. Your machine is now ready for use.
Hi Do you have a gray cylinder in the water tank? If you don't that is you problem. That will float when there is water in the tank and tell the machine to work. If its missing or at the bottom, the machine won't work.
Use Scalekleen or other citric acid.
1- Always use the right descaling products.
Descaling chemicals purchased from supermarkets may not be suitable for the
machine. Use of Vinegar is prohibited by manufacturers. Please read the
operating manual. Do not use Cafiza, Cleancaf or PuroCaff. These are coffee
cleaners recommended for back flushing coffee machines.
2- Always dissolve the Descaling chemical in a container and pour into the water
tank. Never add directly into the water tank. Crystals of chemical will slide into
the filter & pump and block the water hose and restrict flow of water.
3- Do not pour solution when the tank it is on the machine. In fully automatic
machines, the bean hopper is next to the water tank. The solution / water can
accidentally get into the bean hopper and cause serious damage to the grinder.
4- Espresso machines have separate water passage for Hot water from steam
pipe and espresso dispensing. Flush the solution from both sides, alternatively.
Turn machine on, flush one cup from steam pipe and turn machine off. After a
pause of 3 to 5 minutes turn machine on and make one large espresso (4-oz.).
Repeat this process until all of the solution in the tank is used up.
This method is best both for semi-automatic & fully automatic espresso
machines.
Using Electronic programmed method does only half the job as it flushes
descaling solution only through the steam pipe. The machine must be flushed
with solution from espresso side as well. Automatic descaling method should be
completed by making 6 espresso with or without coffee (using pre-ground cycle
when available).
5- Rinse the water tank and fill with fresh clean water. Repeat the rinsing process
alternatively until four tanks of water is used up to flush the chemical out.
Caution: Do not leave the machine before completing the rinsing
with clean water. The solution left inside will corrode & tarnish
metallic surface.
Do not leave Chrome plated objects submerged in descaling
solution for more than 10 seconds. The chrome will dissolve and
leave the item permanently corroded and black.
Gently remove tank the slide it back in place make sure the back of tank makes good contact with the machine when it is being lowered so that the reed switch can read the magnet in the tank.
this has happened to me too just yesterday (26 May 2013), I replaced the tank because I was lucky to have kept the spare bits off the old machine I had and it worked fine. Over time, the water gets into the float and corrodes the magnet. Best to just replace the magnet if you can or the whole tank. Good luck
