Open the computer case. On the motherboard, (looking from the bottom of the motherboard), in the bottom right quadrant, to the right of the CMOS battery, you'll see two jumpers labeled CLR_CMOS and PSWD. You'll want to move the jumper for the PSWD block to pins 2-3 for 5 seconds and then replace the jumper on pins 1-2. This will clear the CMOS password.
There is no solution with out getting in the cabinet and removing the CMOS battery or moving the CMOS jumper on the CMOS pins. Desktop computers have a password reset built onto their motherboards. This reset area has three pins with a jumper on two of the pins, when you need to reset the cmos (and get rid of a password) this jumper has to be moved over to the pin next to it and the computer powered up to reset the cmos, then the computer gets powered down and the jumper placed back in the normal position.
how the hell do u forget your password???? it's usally set to ask u eevrytime u turn it on... unless u hav never turned it off since u got it (highly doubt that considering how unrealieble these devices are at standby mode). by best advice for u is to try every combination that u would usually put on as a password (ie- bank PIN., birthday, phone PIN, computer password, hotmail password ect)
assuming this is winxp then when u start up computer right at the boot screen keep pressing F8 until something pops up that says Safe mode and all these other stuff go on to the one tht says safe mode and then u will seee a new screen name named Administrator if u get lucky then u can go on to administartor w/out a password and go into administrator ten control panel then remove the password for the other accnt te u forgot the password for and restrt nad logon to tht oter accnt
