What color wires go where

To find out what your factory wires on your vehicle are, go to installer.com then click on the tab, cables and wires, select your vehicle.
What I do is go to walmart, kmart, target or similar, and get the $5 connector.. It wires to cd player and just plugs into the factory plugins.

Cd player wiring-

Yellow - Direct 12 volt power from battery - keeps memory and channel presets
Red - Wire from ignition to turn on
Black - Ground wire - best to attach to unpainted body metal
Orange - Dimmer - Not used
Blue - Not used unless you have power/electric antenna
Blue with white stripe - Not used unless running an amplifier, then it attaches to rem on amp
Gray - Right Front Positive
Gray/Black Right Front Negative
Purple - Right Rear Positive
Purple/Black - Right Rear Negative
White - Left Front Positive
White/Black - Left Front Negative
Green - Left Rear Positive
Green/Black - Left Rear Negative

CD Player not working

There may be dust inside the unit on the laser. Try shoting some compressed air in the CD drive area to clean out. Also, ensure that the CD surface is clean, and try a different factory made audio CD. Sometimes CD players have problems reading "burned" CD's.

Wiring problems

Hi,

Most of current AIWA in-dash units are ISO/DIN compliant and therefore conform to the ISO Wire Color Code standard. If your model is ISO certified then it would be following the below illustrated wiring scheme.
4050e73.jpg
You can verify its adherence to the standards by checking that the "Earth" wire reads 0 ohms using a continuity tester as against the ground/body of the stereo unit. Incidentally most current car models also follow the same standard with the exception of later VW / Audi vehicles and therefore would be simply be plug in.

If you suspect any deviation, perhaps you are better off purchasing an original Aiwa two, eight way plugs for your CDC-MP32 CD Player.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things are or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
