My machine has the word 'test' on the display and I can't get it out of this mode, or get the door to unlock. There is already a similar problem posted on this site for another model, but on the wf645 the start and the cancel are both on the same button. I have tried cancelling, turning off the power, every combination of buttons that I i can think of .
Machine will not start and the display will show TEST I tried pressing start and on/off button together but it will still display TESTMachine will not start and the display will show TEST I tried pressing start and on/off button together but it will still display TEST

not worked on this model.but hotpoint are usually eaSY. no special tools.but i found it easier to take the front of the machine and work at it that way about 1 hour
hold in the start and cancel buttons for 10 seconds, a "test on" message appears, hold in the start and cancel button again for 10 seconds and "test off" message appears, set your wash to whatever mode and it should work...it did for me!
The detergent/softner dispenser is located above the detergent drawer.
A water pipe is connected to it and water entrance and distribution to drawer's cells (following the programmed cycle)are
done by a lever's movement (part of the dispenser). The lever movement is controlled by two solenoids that received their power from the timer.
By opening upper machine's cover you will have an access to the dispenser.
Disconnect the power cable from the machine before moving to next step !!!!
Look first that they are not any disconnected wires.
Move manually dispenser's lever and see if water running to all cells (depend on your movement). In case it doesn't work properly remove the unit from the machine and try to clean it (I hope it will help, otherwise you should replace the unit).
In case it works properly (manually) - you should test with a multi-tester solenoid's resistance. the one that doesn't have a resistance measurement should be replaced.
Good luck !!
Machine will not start and the display will show TEST I tried pressing start and on/off button together but it will still display TEST
