Hi, I have factory configured Sony Vaio VGN-BX540B with ressolution of 1024 x 768 and I want to upgrade it to 1280 x 1024 as my display shows. But I'm not able to do that. I have spoken with many people even with Sony support people and no result. Please is there smart head that will help me. I am tired of usin my laptop and see those huge icon and desktop for kids. Lets not be a kid anymore!!! Thank you so much
You should be able to get a resolution of 1280x800 for a standard screen size of 15.4" The 1280x1024 will be more for a large screen high definition lcd tv when connected, which you will then find will become available to use as a screen size, although only through a dvi connection to the tv as a normal vga connector will only give a maximum screen size of 1024x768.
