Washing machine keeps taking water in even after programme has stopped
The washing machine seems to be going round the programme fine except it is continously taking water in even on the spin programme! Just switching the machine on starts the pump taking water in.
Poss moisture on your control module causing tracking . unplug your machine from the mains and take the back panel off, you can try blowdrying the module down in the bottom left hand corner or you can take it off (noting where all the leads go to),get an old toothbrush and clean the solered side around the bottom of the board failing that you will most probably have to change it

It sounds as if the brushes in the motor have worn, when the motor stops it wont go through the program, try turning the ddial around to spin to check the motor
does it have a manual programme knob?if it does ,probably the internal contacts do not mesh so it stops at next step (programme)but the water pump keeps on making the noise.
try turning the knob by hand when machine stops before entering next programme cycle.if machine starts ,programme knob is the problem.
the white box you refer to contains the main module which drives the whole issue.
with no start, this module is probably faulty and is an expensive part
