Ps3 slim wont take disc you can push it in with no resistance

Press the "Eject" button on the PlayStation 3 console and hold it for at least 10 seconds; if your PS3 has the "force eject" feature included it will eject the disc regardless of whether the console is frozen or not. Turn off the console and turn it back on before inserting new discs.

Unplug the power cord and any other cords from the PS3 console if the "force eject" feature does not work and you own a PS3 Slim. Turn the console upside down so that you have access to the bottom of the console.

Locate the small compartment door on the bottom of the console. Remove the door by pulling it up and off the console; a blue screw and a small hole should be visible inside the compartment.

Insert a Phillips-head screwdriver into the hole. Turn the screwdriver in a counterclockwise direction to manually eject the disc. Once the disc is removed, replace the compartment door and turn the PS3 console back to its correct position before reconnecting the power cable and any other cables you previously removed.

He is full of **** trying to scam you. It sounds like your disc drive is out of alignment with the top part of the disc drive so the clicking your hearing is the bottom of your disc drive trying to eject and the top is holding its on as the top has sliding parts that meet perfectly with the bottom part of the disc drive so it sucks the game in and out. You need to open it yourself with a philips head screwdriver you dont have to worry about the motherboard or any other part just take the drive out undo the ribbons connect the drive to the motherboard then it should pop right out. Been awhile since I took a slim apart they dont break as often (yet). From here you should have a metal caseing over the disc drive maybe not with the slim. You pop the metal caseing off the you have a plastic disc drive. Take the top part off maybe requires small phillips screw driver. Since you have a disc in it when you take the lid off hook the cables back to the ps3 motherboard and to the cd drive. Now press eject with the top lid off. Then put the top lid back on and insert a disc it should work. Then just put it back together. Theres a little motherboard on that cd drive do not short it out on anything. You can do this if you cant worst is youll have to buy a new cd drive from the repair shop you mentioned. Then they should charge to much labor to put it back together as you had it apart when you got there. But you should beable to do it if you need help taking it apart just google or youtube slim ps3 disc drive repair or how to take apart slim ps3. Hope this helps if not let me know.

1. First shut down the system by flipping the power switch in the back off.
2. Hold down the eject disc button.
3. While still holding down the eject button, flip the power switch to turn back on your PS3.
4. When the green light comes on, wait a few seconds then tap the eject button a couple times. The fan will run on full power and the disc will eject.

try holding the eject button for three secs. keep doing it

Hi, best thing to do to eject disk is
1.power of the console
2. hold the eject button and the power button down at the same time
3. then reach around to the back of the console and put the switich on
4. hold for ten seconds and thhe disk should come out

try turning the ps3 off while holding the eject button then turn it back on while still holding the eject button. Its a misaligned tray.

if the disc is spinning with some clacking noise then its all right,use the manual eject button 3 to 4 times.Now the disc should be sited on the disc plate.If you think that this works but not through the software then update the firmware.On new slim PS3 disc stuck,it doesnt void your warranty.

Okay, the same thing happened to me and I managed to get the disc out. First is the blue light on. If it isnt then you should hold the eject button and use another cd and push it into the disc drive and gently push your stuck disc around. When you hold the eject button your PS3 will make a loud clicking sound but dont worry. Just keep using the extra disc and push the stuck disc around and it should come out

try holding down the eject button for 10 seconds, it resets the drive, hope this helps

Unfortunately their is no step by step or guaranteed method to fix this. Here are a few things you could try: turning it off and on, press/hold the eject button, resetting while holding the eject button, shaking or tapping it a little while trying to eject it, holding it different ways ex. face disc opening down towards floor while gently tapping and pressing the eject button. Essentially do whatever you can to get the disc to jar loose, >but whatever you do, don't for any reason stick anything in the slot or try to open the case <Doing this will void the warranty for sure! If none of these work your last resort would be to return it for a new one (providing you still have your receipt and it's less than a year old) or take it to a costly repair guy.
