Im wondering if someone can tell me or show me in some some form of diagram how to remove my motherboard from my laptop i cant seem to remove the casing :S help! please. thankyou
I've taken apart a few laptops and they are all very different and all very difficult to take apart. You would most likely need to completely disassemble almost every single component to remove the motherboard. Why do you need to remove the board? I want to warn you away from even trying unless absolutely necessary because if you need help getting started with this project, the chances of you removing the MB and ever having the laptop operate again are slim.

What do you mean by "suspected faulty"? What exactly is the problem?
Where did you get the replacement board?
Do you have any experience? I'm not kidding when I say replacing the MB will not be easy. Each model laptop varies but they are all a pain. I had one where I had to completely dissasemble the LCD screen (every last screw and part) just to get to the power plug on the MB, I was not even trying to remove the entire MB.

The reason i need to remove it is because the MB i have in the laptop at the moment is suspected to be faulty i have another MB here and i need to fit it in as i know this one is fully working m8 :)
Well i think its faulty theres no life in the laptop watsoever, it cant be the ac adaptor, battery, memory or harddrive because they are all just purchased new but when i hook the adaptor up and plug it in there's not even any lights or sounds its completly dead. i have a little experience working with desktop's but not laptop's i belive you when you say its not easy, these things never are, do you know how to just take the top part of the casing off so i can take a look at the MB? i got the replacement board from compaq m8.
