Ikebana fireblaster external hard drive crash?

Hello - i came back to the office from the holiday to find my ikebana fireblaster external hard drive turned off, most likely due to a power surge during a power failure. when i reset the breaker, my other two external hard drives mounted, but the ikebana will not. at first, the drive had immediate flashing red lights whenever i tried to turn it on. i turned it off over night. this morning, i turned it back on - the flashing lights were now gone (a green 'on' indicator light remained) but the drive does not show up on my desk top. i cannot access the information on the drive nor can i get it to mount on any of the computers in my office. other 411: Mac OSX v 10.3.9 thanks for any assistance you can provide in helping me access the data on this drive. regards, shannon

If the information on it is worth more than the warranty, or the warranty has expired, then open it up, physically extract the hard drive itself and mount it in a pc as a slave drive. Then you should be able to get your data. Sounds like the power supply in the external drive has gone - please post back if you want us to try and source spares etc Hope this helps :)

PS - please ask if you need more info :)

PPS There may possibly be an internal fuse - if you want to open it up then have a look around - not been able to confirm this or not online.

    :)
