I've really had no problems with my washer until about a week ago. After a wash load was finished, I noticed that the detergent dispenser was full of water. I emptied it and did several more loads. Each time, at the end of the cycle, the dispenser was full of water. I removed the entire "tray" and cleaned out all of the dispensers for bleach/softener/detergent. Did another load, no water. Next load, it's full of water again. Is there a clog somewhere?
Remove dispencer again, remove conditioner syphon assembly and clean up the little tube. Should then go okay

You could have a clog in the housing underneath the dispenser where the water flows through a hose into the tub.
Pull the dispenser drawer completely out.
There is a tab that needs to be depressed to release the drawer and remove it.
Check the opening at the bottom of the housing just inside the dispenser housing opening to see if a small sock or garment is clogging this opening.
Reach down into this opening to see if an item is inside the hose.
This is the normal issue that will cause water to leak out of the dispenser housing.

Wash the dispenser drawer thoroughly with warm water. Make sure that you pull off the siphon covers and wash all siphon holes. This process is described in your owner's manual. Replace the dispenser drawer and try the washer again.

Saturate an old cloth with white vinegar. Alternatively, you might use petroleum jelly on the cloth to remove the mold.Pull the gasket out gently with your hands to reveal the mold and mildew buildup inside the folds of the gasket.Wipe the mold away from the gasket with the cloth. Continue working to wipe away all mold from the folds of the rubber gasket.Dry the folds of the gasket with a dry cloth when you finish removing the mold.Repeat this procedure at least once per month to prevent mold and mildew from forming. If you notice mold occurring more frequently, clean it off when you see it.

You were exactly right. When I removed the syphon assembly, it looked like little sheets of plastic were blocking it. But then I looked closer and it must have been hardened detergent. Thank you!
I too have the same problem. Only I don't use the fabric conditioner compartment on this machine so I am perplexed as to what to clean out. Any suggestions as to what I need to do?
I have a brand new wm2455hw and it has the exact same problem. I haven't used liquid bleach or fabric softener yet and there is water collected in both cups after each load. Any suggestions?
As far as water collecting in the cups, there is always a bit of water in my detergent reservoir, but not much. I just lift the blue detergent reservoir and empty it into the sink and then leave the detergent drawer open, as well as the washing machine door when I'm not using. This gives everything a chance to dry out. I guess a little water is better than it leaving detergent sitting in there.
If it's more than just a little, I would remove the detergent drawer completely. To do this, pull the drawer out and push down on the little finger depression to the right of the bleach dispenser. Pull gently and the drawer will come out completely. Place the whole unit in the sink and take apart everything and clean. I use a little vinegar in the water and also q-tips to get in the little syphon tubes. If you have done this, you should see that there are little tubes...this is where the water comes up and then rinses back down with the detergent/bleach/softener. This should also answer the question about the syphon assembly.
While the drawer is out, reach into the drawer cavity and wipe out with a small towel. You will also be able to clean out the ledge that you don't normally see when the drawer is in there. The LG has a really nice, easy to clean system for dispensing detergent---unlike some of the others that are difficult to clean. After you've done the above, replace the drawer and the compartments and see if you still have a problem.
When I posted this problem, it was because the compartments were full (to the top) with water. If you just have a little water, that is normal. Hope this helps!
Where is the conditioner syphon assembly?
after a load finishes and I go to do another, I pull out the detergent/bleach/softener drawer and it is full of water and spills all over. I have already checked the hose in front left bottom door and drained that,as well as the lint trap -or whatever that is.
Sometimes when I go to start a load of laundry my detergent dispenser is full of water
