My Dreamcast displays no video!

When I turn on the Dreamcast it has audio but no video. I have checked and it is not internal. I just had it cleaned and it was working after that but it just stopped working overnight. Please give me an on-site solution!

No video/audio when trying to play Dreamcast

It's not moving the mainboard that causes problems to happen. Alot of people don't know but the screws inside the Dreamcast that hold the mainboard down are different sizes and there is a place where a longer screw isn't supposed to go and it will go in to far and touch the mainboard and cause problems. But that's besides the point of your question but could have been done before. There could be a bad capacitor or a break in the solder joint where the AV port is at also.

Dreamcast cuts out after or during the startup screen, stops displaying audio and video. If a disk is inside, it doesn't shows no signs of even being on aside from the power LED and the fan. The system...

This is probably the most ridiculous thread I've ever read in regards to the most common fault of the Sega Dreamcast. The issue is not with the laser - if it was unable to read the disc, it wouldn't read the disc.
The issue is actually with the pins that connect to the motherboard. They corrode and burn out over time. This can be fixed by cleaning with a high percentage alcohol.
Make sure you have unplugged and turned off the console for a couple of hours beforehand.
And before you open it up, press the on button to check for any remaining power.

I just got a brand new cable for my dreamcast but i still have no picture. The problem seems to be internally. What should I do?

the problem might be in the Dreamcast its self or the tv you our using. try connecting it to a another tv and see if that works. If it dosent it is the Dreamcast and i have no idea were you will get another one exept on ebay.

Audio but no picture

Try using another RF cable. If that doesn't work then open up the system, and clean it out. Make sure there's no dust or anything that shouldn't be in there.
