I know (now) that the camera does not insert the time and date into the still image. However, when I transfer the images over and save them on the PC, the "created" date is set as the date of saving the image, not when I took it. So, for all of those old pictures there seems to be no way to find out when I actually took them. Any help?
What kind of camera are you using ? Most of the times, digital cameras record the date and time pictures are taken.

Sorry, I thought that was in the header for the message. It is a JVC GR-AXM710 VHS-C with built-in memory for the still shots.
