Kenmore has instructions along with the correct orfices you need to burn propane the only difference between gas and propane orfices is the hole size in the center of the orfices and there is very little difference in size propane is smaller hole because the pressure difference between natural gas low pressure proppane higher pressure

SOURCE: converting back to nat gas from propane

Typically, conversion from natural to propane and visa-versa is just a simple connection behind the appliance. Look in the box of the conversion kit (or on the back of the packaging,) and you should see the conversion instructions. Since you are dealing with gas, you need to make sure the shut-off valve is... shut off so no gas can leak while do the exchange. Also, make sure there are not open flames anywhere near the work area. Take your time and follow the directions...

How do you convert to propane a kenmore elite model # 79671622310

You have to get the conversion kit. Mostly the burner gas nozzels has to be changed. Propane has a higher BTU value than natural gas. So the burner nozzle has to be smaller with propane.

You have to have the right nozzle kit for your dryer. Normally the propane nozzle kit comes with the new dryer. It is attached in a plastic seethrough bag and attached somewhere in the back of dryer.

Also you have to adjust the air opening in the burner for propane. Propane need more air than natural gas to burn properly. If you buy the conversion kit or find the conversion kit in the back of your unit, it will clearly give instructions how to do it.

How to get into the control panel on a Kenmore Elite H E 4 Gas dryer

You'll have to first take the top off the machine by removing the three screws at the top rear of the machine. Once they are out youcan then slide the top back and you'll have access to the control board from the rear side of it. To actually remove it there are two screws, one on each side that you'll have to take off then the whole display can be removed.

Need to convert from natural gas to propane

Take 3 screws out of bottom side of Z shaped metal part on the back of the dryer's top. Stand in front of dryer and use the palms of your hands to sharply push dryer top back about 2 inches and lift top off. Open door and remove screw at 4 and 8 O'Clock position. Remove control panel (ususally 2 screws and a bunch on retaining plastic parts along the top side) and set on top of dryer or unplug electrical plugs and set aside. Remove screws at top of front panel. Unplug light bulb and door switch. Tilt front panel forward and lift off bottom tabs, then unplug moisure sensor wire at bottom, allowing front panel to be set aside. Remove 4 screws at sides of drum support assembly, lift up and off. Release belt, and remove drum. (easier to do if flat metal part originally right behind control panel is removed first) Use belt as a handle and lift drum out of dryer, allowing access to burner assembly. Change burner orfice and regulator blocker. Re-assemble and test.

I have a kenmore ellite bbq model 141.16691 propane - I want to convert to natural gas, there is no conversion kit to make it but the natural gas model 141.17691 is exactly the same - just natural gas. If...

Many manufacturers make grills in propane and natural gas, but are not convertible from one gas type to another. The reason being safety. Each grill model, whether it's Natural Gas or Propane is tested and approved for that one specific gas type and that alone. Converting it would put all the responsibility on you, if something was to go wrong.

I suspect in part, the reason you want to convert is so that you want have to refill the propane tank any longer. But, you may want to consider this against convenience. Propane Gas burns cleaner and hotter than Natural Gas in an outdoor environment. Which boils down to lower high end temperatures, longer preheating times and the expense of running an approved gas line to the grill for Natural Gas. Not to mention the cost conversion parts.

But, the decision is yours to make. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Kenmore elite gas dryer (digital control) Beeps continuously while operating. Can not control temperature or cycle.

I suspect your control may be faulty. These have a very high rate of failure. The control is accessed by removing the three screws from the back of the top panel and sliding the top back and up.

How do you convert back from propane to natural gas, I already have the orifice but don't know how to put it on?

If you have the rear control dryer you posted under:
1. Unplug power to dryer.
2. remove two phillips head screws behind door, just in front of lint filter.
3. Use putty knife to push in dryer top release clips at seam with dryer front, about a inch in from each side.
4. Swing top up and remove two phillips screws holding front onto frame at very top of front panel.
5. pull front panel forward a bit and remove plug to drum light and door switch.
6. lift front panel off dryer.
7. Turn off gas shut off and remove burner / valve assembly.
8. Replace orifice and change out brass pressure regulator screw.
9. reassemble and test.
