How do you fix or replace the internal battery of Symbol RF MC9060S terminal? What kind of battery? Or even, Does anybody know how does the warranty expires on Symbol products?
You have to first charge the backup battery, for charging insert a fully charged main battery into the MC906x. Then the backup battery will starts charging leave it there for one day. if that message is still coming then the problem is with the backup battery and u have to replce it

First check if the internal battery will hold a charge. Symbol says; "The MC906x backup battery charges off of the MC906x main battery. To charge the backup battery, insert a fully charged main battery into the MC906x. The MC906x can be placed in its cradle, but does not need to be. The backup battery takes approximately 15 hours to charge. To determine whether the backup battery is fully charged (after allowing to charge for 15 hours), remove the main battery." If you are still getting the replace internal battery message, contact these guys for a replacement and instructions - (you have to open the case, and often these batteries are board-soldered components, so you have to be reasonably skilled to identify and replace them); http://www.symbol.com/category.php?category=733 Warranty details are here; http://www.symbol.com/symbol_warranty/warranty.html If you can get a spare battery from Symbol and want to try it yourself, please post back a photo or two of the inside and we can hopefully direct you, but symbol may well recommend sending it to them for replacement. It largely would depend what type of battery it turns out to be. See what Symbol says, and then please ask us again. Try and get them to give you the specifications of the battery.

PPS if you can't get the info from Symbol, also ask if they can at least get you a service manual :) :)

Is it normal for the internal battery to stop charging after only 16 months since I received them.
Of course my problem now is that they are now outside the warranty period.
To avoid repeating this same problem in the future, Is there anything I should do?
