Door won't open

Jo. you may have to remove the hole cover, to access inner latch mechanism, where you can manipulate the latch with long screw driver.*** before attempting this, unplug microwave for an hour***

Microwave Door Won Open

on my microwave, the door sticks some times & I put my fingers under door on latch side & push up, & I can hear it release & open. other than that there may be a broken part. follow the link below.

Possible that the door switch is broken or jammed,. You need to remove the top cover, open the panel and remove the door and switch , check for broken plastic or lock, If so use glue to stick and reset.

Possible that the lock was broken and so the door opened. You can remove the front panel and check for broken plastic or nylon pieces which can be glued using instant adhesive.
Reset the lock and switch and the door must lock in correctly

You may have a shorted door switch or a shorted relay on the control board.

Door Latch If the microwave door won't open the door latch might be broken. The door latch is inside the microwave. The door hook, which is part of the door, engages with the latch to keep the door closed during operation. If the door latch or actuator breaks the door may not open.

Door Hook If the microwave door won't open the door hook might not be releasing properly. The door hook is installed inside the door and normally releases when the door is opened. The hook is made of plastic and will break over time. When this happens it will need to be replaced, it can't be repaired.
