Erratic Self powerdown

I recently aquired this tv from a buddy and soon after i got it the screen will power off but the Power light stays lit and I can change channels while the screens off? the sound also dies with the screen but all the functions will work but the picture is getting no power! What causes this??? Can I repair this or is this tv needing a certified repairman? I know my way around the pcb board "so-to-speak" But I'm clueless as where to start when it comes to TV's and i don't wanna get ZAPPED! (which i saw a friend get a nasty jolt when he slipped off his chair, dunna what he touched but i'm not very keen on getting shocked!)So any visual guides as to tell me WHAT NOT TO TOUCH would be reassuring. Best thing for you would be to call in a pro as a TV set IS NOT the place to be experimenting around inside of.

Press the "Power" button on the TV you want to sync with the universal remote. Push and hold the "LED" button on the remote until the button lights up and stays lit. Push the "TV" button The "LED" light will blink once, then stay lit again. Point the remote toward your TV and press the "Power" button on your remote, holding it down until the TV turns off. Do not press "Power" again after the device turns off. Press the "Enter" button on your remote. The LED light will no longer stay lit. Your remote control is now programmed for use with the device.

How do I fix my Jvc the screen won't power on. When I reset it the lights on the buttons light up...but shut off right away. It has power because the red light on the bottom left corner stays lit.

Power supply board is dying not giving the tv correct voltage anymore.The power supply board,that the board power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

if you turn off in windows it sould turn off by it self when starting up again you have to push botton to start it thats how it should work jim

Hot water heater will not stay lit

Hi,
It could be that you need a new regulator if the pressure was low - and now is high - but it's over-compensating - virtually shutting off the supply.
Check all valves are fully open - and any water traps are empty. It is possible for there to be a condensate in there - that is occasionally blocking the nozzle - causing a flameout.
If there is any yellow flame at all or signs of soot- get the unit serviced.

My VISIO P55-F1 TV works intermittently The TV had been intermittently going blank/turning itself off on its own for a while. Then it would not turn on. Recently it is not coming on past the VISIO 'V' chevron welcome screen. I took the back off and verified that after powering on the backlight LEDs are working even if the screen is goes back to black. There are no obviously damaged components special care taken checking all capacitors. The TV can be turned on and off by the remote. There is power to the main board at least to the USB jack. After messing around getting ready to post this question the TV seems to have come completely on its on the floor with no inputs right now since I could get the menu to appear using the remote after starting up. What can I do next to try and track down the source of the intermittent problem?

Tcl 58P638K SWITCHES OFF Tcl 58" takes a while to change channels and every so often freezes then switches off ,have to turn it off at the wall ,wait then switch on again.Only had it since Jan 2023 as it was a replacement for the previous TV we ordered in May 2022 .

stairmaster 4000 won't turn on. It has a reset box attached. The cord to an outlet runs out from that box. I press in the long needle like red plastic button. The red light on the rest box turns on (red light), but only stays on for a minute, then shuts off. No power goes to the machine even for that one minute. I would guess a fuse was blown, but I am just guessing... and I do not know where this fuse would be, even if it had one.
