Yes, you can have different devices connected to the LCD Screen for the psone. That's what the AV IN connection is there for, so you can connect things such as camcorders. All you need is a RGB to 35mm AV cable such as this http://www.amazon.com/Kenwood-CA-C3AV-Cable-Video-Input/dp/B001LRPLQ4/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1271908372&sr=8-5. Right now, I have my PS2 Slim hooked up the the psone lcd screen for portable gaming goodness.

Hi, I have a sony bravia tv ( klv20G300A) which was bought in Hong Kong about3 years ago . I haven't been able to get it to work with the uk digital signal. I am wondering about it's compatibility-...

This tv has analog tuner and you need digital tuner in tv to get digital signal in UK, alternate way is to hook cable box with this tv that will convert digital signal into AV output that will connect to AV input of tv to get cable channels.

What is the audio/video input?

Hi
Audio Video input or [AV] input is meant for to connect the TV to any external device which has AV output. For example, you can connect the TV with a DVD/VCR/Blu-Ray/Amplifier etc. The audio video output of the connectig device has to connect to the audio video input of the TV with an audio video cable. This cable can be bought from most of the electronic sparepart shops. After connectin it such, you have to go to the input selection window of the TV and must select the input of the tV to Audio Video. No tuning or any other adjustment should be done then. Just play the connected device and see the its output by Tv. OK.

My PS3 will not play sound on my Sony Bravia HDX275 surround sound system. I have the HDMI cable plugged from the PS3 to the TV. I have another HDMI cable from the receiver to the TV as well as a opitcal...

Hello,

Adjust the system's audio output settings. These settings are mainly used when the system is connected to audio devices that support digital audio output, such as AV amplifiers (receivers) for home entertainment systems.
1.
Confirm the formats supported by your audio device.
Settings vary depending on supported formats. For details, refer to the instructions supplied with the audio device.
2.
Select in_soundset.gif (Sound Settings) under in_setting.gif (Settings) in the home menu.
3.
Select [Audio Output Settings].
4.
Select the input connector on the audio device. Channel numbers and audio formats that are supported vary depending on the connector in use.

Select audio output formats.
Select all output formats that are supported by the audio device in use. If [Audio Input Connector / SCART / AV MULTI] is selected in step 4, the screen for selecting audio output formats will not be displayed. If [HDMI] is selected, you can also select to automatically set the audio output format. (In this case, the HDMI device must be turned on.)

Check your settings.
You can go back to the previous screen and revise the settings by pressing the in_left_key.gif button.

Save your settings.
The audio output settings are saved on the system.
Hints
  • [Linear PCM 2 Ch.] audio is set to be output from all output connectors by default. If you change the audio output settings, audio will be output only from the connectors that were set.
  • If you change the audio output settings, the system will no longer be able to output audio from multiple output connectors at the same time. For example, if your system is connected to a TV via an HDMI cable and to an audio device via a digital optical cable and you switch to [Digital Out (Optical)] under [Audio Output Settings], audio will no longer be output from the TV. To output audio from the TV, switch the setting to [HDMI], or select in_setting.gif (Settings) > in_soundset.gif (Sound Settings) > [Audio Multi-Output] and set the option to [On].
  • If you select [Linear PCM 2 Ch. 88.2 kHz] or [Linear PCM 2 Ch. 176.4 kHz] in step 5, sound may be intermittent or may not be emitted from some audio devices.
  • When using an HDMI cable, only [Linear PCM 2 Ch.] audio will be output from PlayStation®2 and PlayStation® format software. To output Dolby Digital or DTS audio, you must connect the PS3™ system and the audio device using a digital optical cable and switch to [Digital Out (Optical)] under [Audio Output Settings].
  • If a device that is not compatible with the HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) standard is connected to the system using an HDMI cable, video and/or audio cannot be output from the system.

Hope it helped.

I have just purchased a home cinema system: SONY 46" LCD, KEF3005 SPKS, SONY STRDA2400ES RCVR, SONY S55O BLURAY. ALSO A VIRGIN HD+ BOX. CAN YOU ADVISE BEST WAY TO CONNECT THIS ALL TOGETHER FOR BEST...

connect all source devices to the Sony LCD tv inputs. and connect the audio output from the tv to the aux input or any one input of the audio reciever. This way you can just leave the av reciever on and control all the input switching with te tv remote. Avoid connecting all the av sources to the reciever and the tv as a monitor from the video out of the av reciever. Just use the av reciever to reproduce the desired audio and do all the input switching with the tv remote. This will simplify the operation an lessen the chance of someone changing the audio settings of the av reciever.

I dug out my old ps1 got everything together and when I start it the screen on the tv remains blue. The television is on the appropriate channel. I can hear the console working inside but can't...

The blue screen makes me think that it is on the wrong input. You said channel. If you plug it into the composite inputs then it will be called "video 1" - "video 4" or however many inputs you have. So make sure again its on the correct input, and make sure that the cable you are using is clean. You can clean it using rubbing alcohol or something. Even if that game doesnt work it should have a PS1 loading screen
