Some camera only use viewfinder to shoot photo,The LCD is for setup and display photo only.Because it's off it will save a lot of battery power so that you can shoot more photos.Check it out in the manual.Have FUN!

I guess you got a serious problem with your camera. The camera you have a problem that I said bad induction in the motherboard camera. The solutio, you have to replace your maiboard with the new one. So, bring your camera to the service center.

I found that alot of Fuji cameras have been recalled due to this issue. Although i did not find the S5000 series mentioned in this article, it may be included. I only used my camera 3 times and its been sitting for almost a year. Please read.

Have u tried switching the view from and eyeview(viewfinder) to LCD while viewing pictures. Sometimes we forget it and panic. Hope it helps. Good Luck.

You probably damaged the lcd screen. Usually you can see a crack across the screen. However sometimes a drop can just unseat the connector for the lcd. To repair you will need to dissasemble and either replace the lcd or reseat the connector This is quite techinical if you don't have electronics experience I would advice against it.

You need ot send it back to the address in this articale and they will fix for free. It is the same problem with mine. You can also call and they will tell you this, Hope this helps you.

This is a CCD sensor problem ( see enclosed image of one taken out of a Cannon camera with similar specs to yours ). Contact Fuji agent as this is repaired under warranty .
