1. Pull the battery cover off (away from the base) in a downward motion. 2. Install one new "CR2032" battery into the battery compartment, with + facing outward. 3. Replace and fasten the battery cover securely.

The battery is located beneath the rear seat. Give the rear seat a good upward yank to release from the snap-in holders. The battery is on the passenger side.
