Contacts How can I view either just the SIM card contacts or just the PHONE contacts rather than both at the same time?

    I'm also really frustrated with the fact that I can't select between viewing just phone or sim contacts.. I've tried deleting all the SIM contacts as a last resort but the downside to this is that the phone is unable to identify incomming calls or SMS against the contact list..



    I don't really want to rely on my SIM memory for contacts as you lose the ability to store multiple numbers for each contact when you do this...



    Surely LG would not have designed the phone to have such a huge flaw? Can anyone suggest something else?

Copy all contacts in phone contacts, delete the cont.. of sim card .than u can able to view all cont.., at 1 time

    another option is that there is the option of groups in u r handset, u can divide the u r contacts in 2 groups

Trnsfer contacts to sim iphone 4
As a matter of fact, iPhone won't save contacts to SIM card. However, you can utilize an Android phone to finish this task. Just follow below steps.

Step 1. Go to the Contacts app on your iPhone, find those contacts you would like to transfer to SIM card. Then tap "Share Contact" and share these contacts via email.
Step 2. Download the vCards you just shared via email on your Android phone. Go to Contacts app on Android phone, then you can choose "Import from USB storage".

Step 3. Go to Contacts app to check if contacts have already been imported to your Android phone. Then go back to "Import/Export contacts" again, this time you should tap "Export to SIM card". Of course you need to put the SIM card into the Android phone before this step.

With this way, you can copy a limited number of contacts from iPhone to SIM card. This isn't a direct and simple way to transfer iPhone contacts to SIM card. You need the extra help of an Android phone, and you also need to type emails one by one to import SIM contacts. Although, it is a good way to back up the contacts by coping them to SIM card, you can also use other backup methods to save the contacts, like use data backup programs or back up them to the cloud.

Phone not recognising sim card. Window pops up which says 'insert sim card or to view a demo of this phone first press Demo"
Sim contacts may be dirty, either on the card or phone.
remove sim card and GENTLY rub a pencil eraser on the contacts to clean, then test. If you can access the contacts on the phone, do likewise. If not, then you'll have to use an Ether based cleaner, Like electrical parts spray ( available from your local auto parts store) .
be careful not to spray too much into the phone, as once the spray gets inside it takes longer to evaporate. You can counter the time by using compressed air to speed drying of the phone interior without taking it apart.

I want to copy contacts from sim mto phone memmory
go to menu and click on contacts then on that press options then click on settings. now on that see there is a option like view contacts on . now select it as sim. then press ok . now exit and again go to contacts.Now the contacts on your sim card will be displayed now go to options on the contacs and click on the option " Copy to phone" On that option click multiple then when it ask to select the contacs click on the first option which is select all then now press ok .Now your contacts will be copied to your phone. now change the contacts view in to phone.


simple guide:


1)Menu->contacts-> contact settings-> view contacts on-> Sim card-> ok->exit
2)menu->contacs-> Copy to phone->multiple->select All-> ok.
3)Menu->contacts-> contact settings-> view contacts on-> Phone-> ok->exit

Go to the phonebook setting of your phone and configure the phone to view contacts from both your phone and sim memory.im sure the reason why you are not able to see your contacts is bcos the phone is configured to view contacts from phone memory alone. one love

If you are using outlook sync then you may need to check the compatibility of your phone whether it supports outlook. If you have the contacts on another phone , simple go to the contact settings copy the contacts to your sim card , insert the sim card to your nokia phone go to the settings and copy contacts from sim to phone. Make sure to change the contact display view to Phone if you have copied the contacts.

How to transfer address book from d807 to LG
if both phones are unlocked or on the same network you can do this:

take the sim card place it into the samsung, select phonebook, then options and find copy to sim or move to sim, I RECCOMEND MOVE TO SIM then click and select all contacts press that, all your contacts will then copy to your sim card, place the sim into your LG find phonebook, setting select view from/by sim card then move contacts from sim to phone should be tab saying move contacts from sim select that, select contacts, OK let it do it, then view from/by phone then all your contacts will be on your phone memory on your LG.. Let me know how you get on......

Most phone have settings to display, only sim contacts or only phone contacts or both

1. Touch ➔ Address Book ➔ Address Book Settings.
2. Touch any of the following options to activate a function:
• My Business Card: attaches a user created virtual business card
as an attachment to outgoing messages.
• Save New Contacts to: defines the destination for new contact
entries (Phone or SIM Card) (page 95).
• View Contacts from: to filter the display of current Address Book
entries. Options include: All, Phone, or SIM Card (page 91).
• Own Number: to display your current phone number (page 93).
• Fixed Dial Contacts: assigns phone numbers as FDN entries
(page 93).
• Used Space: displays the memory storage allocation (total available
and remaining) within both your Phone, SIM card, and FDN list
(page 97).

Contacts gone
Hello there. if all your contacts moved to the phone memory the simple thing is to divert them to the sim card ONE BY ONE. all you have to do is.. press the menu button>go to contacts>press view on the first contact>press edit>then press "store to:"> then change it from phone to sim. keep performing this until all the contacts are converted to the sim card. your contacts will now safely be converted to the sim. hope i helped. bye!
