When we turn on the TV set, toshiba CF36G50, it is really noisy. Sounds like static. Sound like a looks connection somewhere but after about 5 minutes, or after it "warms up" it goes away, until you turn it off and then turn it on again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.S. The set is still using rabbit ears, yes, I said rabbit ears. Very poor cable and satellite reception in the area. Thanks for all your help! Regards.
That sound is comming from the tube anode it is leaking you have to discharge the high voltage from the anode cap, then take off the cap clean the area with alcohol and put some red or clear silicone on the cap and anode connection replace back the cap on the tube leave to dry for about half hour, this will remedy your problem,no more static.good luck.

Where can I find a diagram of the inside of the set? I am a real novice when it comes to this. Is this something I can really do or should it be taken in? Thanks....
