I ust purchased my digital camera some days ago. But I am having a problem downloading the software properly.
I really do not know whats wrong with it because everytime i complete the Master 2 software download I get tghis response from microsoft saying 'OLYMPUS Master exe has encountered a problem and needs to close, we are sorry for the inconvenience'
The error signature also reads
AppName: olympus master.exe AppVer: 184.108.40.206 ModName: mdp_tiff.omdp
ModVer: 220.127.116.11 Offset: 00008343
Kindly advise me on what to do.

are you asking that i re-install the operating system on my computer or uninstalling the software of the camera and re-installing it. I have basically given up on the installng this software and now am relying on my Adobe photoshop software 3.0 to handle the pictures for me
Ok seems to be some problem with the operating system and the memory have you tried installing on another machine if this is successful try the following re-install the Operating system and see whether the problem with be out

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Hi Gary Is the camera under warranty and registered with Olympus? If not registered, make sure you do that online first. It also extends your warranty to 13 months. If no receipt, It was a gift. The Olympus website does not have any downloads for this model. But My brother has the exact same camera. I could get a copy of his software for you. (I think it's called Olympus Master)., I just need a way to send it to you.... Do you know how to use FTP software??
