Question about Canon PowerShot A75 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Playback frozen??? The Canon Powershot A75 camera takes photographs just fine, but when I switch it to playback, it seems to freeze. I cannot scroll back to see other pictures, nor can I delete unwanted ones. Once, it randomly started to work, but not for long. It hasn't been working for quite some time now. If you have any suggestions or solutions, please help me out here.

Camera quit working. Tried new batteries and still didn't work. Shutteris stopped in the opened position.

Could the internal battery cause this?

Canon PowerShot A75

If you get a blank screen and the camera is on,there are two ribbons to the LCD one (the smaller one) is power to the screen. the larger ribbon is the data lines. If the camera is on the problem is a loose connection of one or both of the ribbons. Hope this helps Jerry

There is a service notice for this CCD issue and Canon is repairing this model for free. Give Canon tech support a call and they will send out a shipping label and within 2-3 weeks, you should have a working camera!

Shooting mode will not operate

Your camera has a defective CCD imager. Please return the camera to Canon in New Jersey and they will replace the CCD at no charge to you. This is a known issue and should be covered under extended warranty. Good luck my friend. Joe Weibel customelectronics.org

Canon Powershot A75 blurred LCD display

It sounds like the focus element in your lens is not functioning properly. Does the lens retract completely when you turn off the camera? When you push the button does the camera attempt to focus the image? If you do not see any change in the image when you push the button, and do not hear any sound - then your focus motor is either jammed or malfunctioning. David Millier Advance Camera Repair
