KGRT600HBL FROM THE MODEL NUMBER YOU CAN ASSUME THAT I OWN AN OLDER MODEL OF THE 600 SERIES. I'LL MAKE THIS QUICK. BEFORE MY OVEN HEATS TO THE SET TEMPERATURE IT BEEPS 3 TIMES AND TURNS ITSELF OFF. tHE DISPLAY READS "F7:E0" CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME THE TRANSLATION TO THAT FAULT CODE? OTHERWISE I'M STUCK WITH A FREESTANDING COOK TOP.

Mine has a similar problem with a code of F2:E3. It will not allow me to use the oven at all. We have tried unplugging it to allow the computer to reset which it does and then immediately goes back to the error code. I have given up and am buying a new one since I am told if it is the computer circut board it is very expensive. We have had problems with this oven ever since we purchased it and will never get another one with all these electronic controls to create problems.

I couldn't find an exact match for your fault code, but nearly every range fault code of F7 that I have experienced means you have a defective Electronic Range Control (ERC). This the electronic computer with clock and timer. The circuit board is usually not serviceable and has to be replaced. Usually an expensive repair. Sorry...I hope this was helpful in some way.

You probably have a bad thermostat. These usually aren't very expensive or hard to fix.

Replacing element in an old Chef Auto 600 Oven

Good news!
You probably can do this yourself.
Most appliance parts stores will "demand" you give them a model number, but if you find an appliance store that has a smarter older employee, he or she can probably give you the right one by seeing the old one.
Also know the element may be fine.
Older appliances sometimes have bad wires from old age.
When you take this apart, look carefully at the wires that are connected to the socket that the element plugs in to.
You may find the only thing wrong is a bad wire.
Know also that wire connectors for high heat things like stoves are sometimes made stainless steel, for the high heat.
God bless your efforts.

Double oven keeps turning off randomly. Entire control panael goes blank. A few minutes later it will reset

Control panel/computer mother board is bad, needs replace. You can order almost any appliance part online or threw Sears. Write down the model number and type of oven and go from there. They carry countless brands of appliance parts. You'll be amazed at what you'll find at Sears. They'll have it or either have to order it for you. Trace your steps when removing the face panel and follow your wire connections. Relatively quick job. 30-60 min job. Lowes, carries appliance parts you can order as well.

I need to learn how to use my oven, because i don't know how to turn it on.i need to bake,so can u tell me how?

You can get the manual for the RGB745 at the GE Appliances support site: http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/literature/ . Enter the model number in the search box. There are several models that start with RGB745.

On most of the Hotpoint ovens for regular baking, press Bake and use the + or - buttons to set the desired oven temperature. Then press Start/On. Then the oven will display Pre as it re-heats. When the thermostat indicates the desired temperature is reached, the oven will beep. The racks should be on the middle positions for most baking. (For roasting use the lowest positions.) Put the food in when the oven is done preheating. When done, press Clear/Off. Timed baked requires the clock be set correctly, then set the start and end times.

For the older ovens with dials to control the oven, set the first dial to Bake and the second to the desired temperature. Wait at least 10 minutes for the oven to preheat. Again put the oven racks in the middle of the oven for most baking.

Do not lock the oven latch and keep the oven closed through the baking cycle as much as possible. (Rotating pans and basting steps should be done quickly so that the oven doesn't cool much.)

I hope this helps.

Kenmore Gas Oven

Find the bake ignitor (you may need to remove bottom drawer or oven cavity floor to get to the ignitor). Turn on the bake. If the bake ignitor comes on (starts glowing after a few seconds) - check the amperage on the bake ignitor wires when it's on. If the ignitor is a round style - amperage should be 2.5-3A, if the ignitor is rectangular - 3 - 3.6A. If less than 2.5A or 3A respectively - replace ignitor. If the ignitor does not come on - check the voltage on the ignitor, should be the line voltage 110-120v AC. If there is a line voltage on the ignitor and it's not coming on - replace.
Ignitor part numbers for round style ones: 4342528, WB2X9154, SGR403, 5304401265;
rectangular styles: 12400035, WB13K21, WB2X9998, SGR412, NR020, 5303935066, 814269, 9753108.
Ignitors of the same shape (i.e. rectangular) are interchangeable, if you can splice the wires.

Good luck!

Older Kenmore oven- door locked by itself

We had a quick power outage and when the power came back on it locked our older (1991) Kenmore electric oven model # 40889 / 40881. Went throought the manuel and nothing pertains to this problem. We have turned off the circuit breaker and turned back on, but nothing seems to unlock the door. Any suggestions would be GREAT!!!!!!!

Oven probs

I think you are having a problem with a high limit switch that has become faulty. If you are running this around 400 degrees F. These things fail over time and since you said its a blodgett deck oven I assume it has to be over 10 years old. If you need further help please comment me back.

Hope this helps ya
