I only have a black & white picture when everything is hooked up properly. Double and triple checked all connections.
I have heard of these units doing this right out of the box.
Is that possible?

The three picture cords (red/blue/green) often are a little larger around than the sound cords (red/white). If they are they same size, they are often grouped separate by picture and sound. Double check to verify if you have the "red" cords correct. Good luck.

Hello,For 220volt Choose which side you will connect to.Take the nut off that side black=black / white=red leave the other side alone. The manual is useless.
When dealing with older houses, you run into this a lot, but the somewhat newer houses will actually have the 3 wires to hook up the ceiling fans. You can still use your 2 wires, but you will have to double up the motor and light wires. Wire nut the Black and Blue wires together with your Black wire from the house, and the White wires will be tied together for your neutrals. You should also have a green ground wire also, be sure to hook that to a ground in the house too. Hope this helps!
If you hold the VFP button while a movie is on, you will get a small box on the corner that shows your color. My default color also turned black and white. I just moved over to a user1 color setting (push the right arrow on your remote), and it allows to the change the colors. You might be able to put the colors to come out through here. Hope this helps.
